hmmm personally I just rate Lara still. I believe the man has matured. Hasn't anyone else seen that. The man still has alot to offer to us. Not as a captain but as a player. He is still the best batsman we have and he has 3-4 more years left in him.

Reon King should not be playing for the West Indies he should leave that's my opinion. Him nuh have no use. We have a strong batting line up now. I do hope Pagon holds his own though.

I think Lawson was cleared of his action a while now. As to why he wasn't selected, not to sure.

As for Lara, I think he's good as a player not as a captain. It is noted on many occasions that when Lara isn't playing, the WI team performs better.

Currently there is a good batting line up, Sarwan, Gayle, Hinds, Bravo, etc....but stronger bowlers and all rounders are needed. You ever notice when the six wicket in WI fall, all the rest just tumble down one after the next with low run scores :icon_eek: There is really no one in the eight, ninth or tenth position that is reliable enough to bat well and make runs. Look how long they take to get wickets yesterday against South Africa. WI should have won the second test like a breeze.

Good news is that there is great all rounder potential in Dwayne Bravo and Anguillan Omari Banks. ;)

this morning we lost our last 5 wickets for less than 30 runs...........

man bowlers is what we need. We have a good batting line up right down till number 7 or eight depending on whether we play spin or 4 quicks. Now if we have good bowlers the batting lineup if they even make 200 they have someone to back it. And look at the recent trend. West Indies has consistently been making over 250 runs barring a few occasions.

So West Indies lost the test series 2:1 to South Africa today with one more test to go in Antigua. South Africa won the the 3rd test batting for only one inning.

I think I didn't explain myself clearly on that one :eusa_wall The 2:1 was meant for the last test match were South Africa won the game by only batting one inning while WI bat two innings.

Well South Africa already won the series with 2 wins on the 2nd and 3rd tests. Let's hope that the one day series would be more victorious for the West Indies.

It appeared that the Pakistan team has been strengthen for the second test match in JA. The Captain has returned plus Pakistan scored 374 all out and WI currently has 275 with four wickets down.

Brian Lara has the fourth highest centuries in the world with 30 centuries. Tenduklar from India has the highest with 34 centuries.

I don't know why they continue with Courtney Browne. His days are numbered. He has a knack for dropping good players. It's a case of deja-vu. :eusa_wall he dropped Steve Waugh in 1995 and the WI lost its first home series in decades now he drops Inzie and we are about t lose the grip we had on this series. Chrrrpps.....Him fi get dropped....from the team that is! :eusa_doh:
