What do you guys think? No more tax on computer parts. However increased GCT. Some zero rated items now exempt and some items such as building will get the full GCT now.
Income Tax Threshold to increase that's good for me since I get paid but what about the self employed hmmm...
How does the poor man stand to profit or lose?

That 16.4% GCT thing is murder.
Yes, they've made some concessions in some areas, but they've clawed it back, and more, in others.

Ahh..we in Grenada are ask to pay 5% of incomes below EC$5000/month towards a reconstruction fund. Over EC$5000 are already paying income tax of 30% so they would be paying 2.5% towards that fund.

The opposition have said NO to this...obvious . In fact, Government had plans to start this program in July but they say that they have "listened" to concerns by the public and have put that reconstruction fund on hold for now.
I personally have no problems surrendering 5% of my salary to help build back Grenada. After all, if we (Grenadians) don't make attempts to help ourselves, no one else would. :eusa_wall
The aim is to raise EC$75 million over the next five years.
