Hey anyone go thru phases with food? For example, now it's smoothies for me, well my version of smoothies. Here is an example of what I make
Strawberries
Icecream
Pop (clear pop)
Whipped cream
Ice cubes
I blend all the ingredients together.
Another version is:
Strawberries
Milk
Icecube
Strawberry Soy Milk Powder (Two weeks ago I went home and brought back some Lasco soy milk and it works perfectly)
Blend allt he ingredients together.
I find sometimes I have a love affair with certain foods and that is all I eat for weeks or days.
What's your food affair?

Well cheese is my favorite, there is literally not a day that passes that I don't eat some type of cheese.
But I have been in love with Watermelon and pineapples since my surgery. Watermelon moreso, if I buy a watermelon I literally think about it all day and will dream of it at night LOL I know that's sick but true!!!!!!!!!!

LOL I would open the wrapper and take one look and hand it back. LOL I did not and will not eat and sammich without CHEESE LOL. A sammich just aint a sammich wit out da tangy zip of CHEESE! LOL

I once had a food affair with fried eggs a long time ago. It was fried eggs for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Now I dont really have a food affair but a serious longing for some food from back home. I have been longing for some Okra soup for the past week. I cant cook it though :(

I have never heard of peanut soup. Peanut porridge yes :) Peanut soup is just that; soup made from peanuts. The peanuts give the soup a meaty flavour. I've heard the makers call the soup "sip", but for the life of me I don't see why they call it that. ;)

Is it any good? You know some one here in Canada did mentioned a while back that they heard we made soup from peanuts and I thought they had wrong information. Goes to show that we can learn something new every day:)

Goes to show that we can learn something new every day:)Yes it does taste good. Apparently the protein from the peanuts gives it the meat taste as I said earlier and it's said to be good for you. You will mostly find it made by Rastas on the roadside or in specialised veggie restaurants.

Oh yes Olive Garden, best Italian Eatery in my opinion. Every time I go to Florida, I make it point to visit. There salads are so good and filling , you have to be careful and just eat a bit, or you wont have room for the main course. Love their Chicken Parmesan! One of the keys to weight loss may be to eat like the French. A large majority of French women are slim, in fact only 11% of the populous is overweight compared to Americans in which about 65% of the populous is overweight. What accounts for this difference? The French consider food an art, and they approach it as such. They take time to enjoy and savour their food. They dont rush their meals, instead they take their time and chew their food, they take in the aroma of the ingredients, iand its presentation. In simple they dont rush when they eat, that way they feel full on a smaller portion. The French also commute by walking alot, so there is the exercise element, another key to weight loss.
Fench women dont deny themselves their favourite foods, they just consume in smaller portions. They discipline themselves when it comes to the foods particulalry sweets that they like. It doesnt make sense to deny yourself, because it will only end up with one binge eating.
The above info was courtesy of the Oprah show :)

You wouldn't think so if you live here. The East Indians eat so much of it, that they smell of it and it isn't always a nice smell either.
Here you have to be careful when house or apartment shopping. You don't want to buy a place that is constantly smelling of curry.
