i made sure that i looked before i posted this, i can't seem to find anything about Caribyard such as when it was formed and the founding members, the early days and so on. Don't you think that it wud b good. I don't even know who is the big head here

There's no fancy history of the site, sorry if it'll disappoint you.

CaribYard.com was started early March 2004 by yours truly. The idea was to create an online community of persons with a Caribbean theme as the common thread. It's not intended for Caribbean-affiliated persons alone, rather it is centered around Caribbean related discussions and topics.

There are no "founding members" in the traditional sense of the term. There are just members who joined up in the early stages and stuck with us through thick and thin. In that sense you would consider those members the founding members. I won't attempt to name names lest I forget to mention someone.

There was no real commercial plan to the Yard. You know how it is ... some Caribbean people just see a piece of land in cyberspace and just set up a Yard :)

I think Caribyard officially launched in April 2004, but I joined in March 2004 when you told me early about Caribyard. I think I was the sixth member to join, am I right :)

Well you made your contributions and I must say you doing a good job. But there are some members before you that added their spice earlier to the site. I mean memebers like Zoley!, Pondadat, InkyP1, Bashment Girl, Kitten, Tastee just to name a few. However, the activity has increased within the last three or so weeks.

BTW...haven't seen these members here anytime recently. Does anyone know what happened to them :icon_ques
