Each time I see a medical product being advertised on US TV I noticed that they also mention several side effects of the medication. BTW pharmceutical products are not allowed to be advertised here in Canada.
Anyway, knowing the side effects is good and as such I try to avoid medication as much as possible.
For example I suffer with migraines which get really bad to the point where I can't function, so I have to find alternative ways of dealing with the problem. So over the last couple of year I have been going back to my roots and trying to find alternative solutions of which we have quiet a few in Jamaica :)
So may be we can list here some of the natural products that are known to work and whatt hey are good for.

Ginger - Boil it and make a hot beverage for upset stomach. Good for pain too.
Garlic
1) Soaked in honey is good for soar throat. I keep a bottle of crushed garlic in honey.
2) Taken regularly, keeps the flu away.
3) Crushed and put in nail polish, strenghtens the nail and keeps fungus away.
Will keep adding :)

My late grandmother was a nurse and regardless she say God is her doctor, so does my mother-in-law. And they both lived and live healthy lives. Not to knock medicine but hey I guess some things can be solved with prayer!!! :icon_idea

Does the garlic/honey combination leave a lingering odour about your person AK?and if so how is it counteracted?
Also does anyone know of a natural remedy for stomach ulcers(duodenal) :eusa_sick

No it doesn't, however if this is a problem, they say eat parsley, it will help.
For stomach ulcers I would suggest juicing cabbage and drinking it. However, I can tell you that it is not the nicest thing to drink or smell.

Boil onions and honey is suppose to be good for cold too. I can't imagine drinking boil onions but I believe it would work since the smell and the taste should be enough to scare away any germs:)

Have you any factual evidence as to why cabbage juice would do the trick? or is there an element of old wives tale about this? not that i have anything against old wives or the tales they spread. As long as it works i'll have a go. :)

I don't worry too much since I don't drink it in excess. There are all kinds of other studies out there that says it's good for you not just from the moneymakers. I think everything taken in moderation should be fine :)

I sincerely hope you are like most women in design AK, however you do come across as quite a unique individual when it comes to expressing yourself. And I for one would not wish to change that. ;)
