Well, the Lakers have reached the NBA finals after beating the Timberwolves 4-2 in the Western Conference finals. The Timberwolves put up a good fight, but the staying power of the Lakers outdid their efforts. I know that the Lakers is a strong team, but I was really hoping that the Timberwolves would have beaten them :(

Anyway, it looks like the Lakers may win the NBA finals because IMHO neither the Pacers nor the Pistons will be able to hold them down. Oh well, Phil Jackson will just make history with a career 10 NBA wins.

Anyway, never say never ... right?

So it's now a Lakers-Pistons finals. Unfortunately, I believe from now that the Lakers will win in 6 games.

Well Sacramento Kings all the way :(

yeah, the Kings are a good team.

Ever since Jordan left the Bulls I haven't had a team to root for, but this time around I just wanted someone else to get a taste of winning the finals.

Same here Chris, I've kinda roamed since Jordan left the bulls. I've just always supported the underdog in almost every match. However for the last two seasons, I've been singing Sacramento.

Yup Lakers will win it

Spurs would have been Lakers toughest team in the Western conference.

I was hoping that Spurs would have won the Western Conference and then take the cup in the final playoffs.

Well, Pistons have taken the first game. Wonder what Lakers will do about that or can they?.

What a game last night!!

I had already started celebrating Pistons winning game 2 when ... BAM! Kobe scored that equalising 3 pointer. Bwoy oh bwoy :( After that my hart just sank as I couldn't believe that the Pistons came so close and could almost taste the victory.

Hooray!!

The Pistons thrashed the Lakers 88-68 in Game 3 of the finals :D This is what the Lakers needed for some time now. The Pistons just need to strategize and keep the momentum in game 4.

Detroit looks like a tough team. Probably tougher than Lakers had thought.
I am looking forward to Game 4 on Sunday
Well, let us see what happens.

I am putting my "X" beside the Lakers for Game 4.

I think it will be very close this Sunday between the two teams. All I know is that the underdog Pistons are giving the Lakers a run for their money ;)

Sorry to have to inform you, but Phil surely didn't roll out the big guns tonight in game 4 when Pistons beat the Lakers 88-80 :) If he has anything to roll out he better do it for the next 3 games straight ;)

well i predict a series end tonight. no team has ever come back from a 3-1 loss in a playoff final....not even the lakers. so looks like the pistons (my team!!!!) will be the new kings of b'ball. i am glad a turned out this way...let the lakers go back to the drawing board.

Well the fat lady has sung and the Pistons whopped the Lakers in the final game 5 :) The Pistons definitley deserve to win the finals. The Lakers will have to come fresh with some new blood for the next season.

I wonder if Phile will retire now or hold on for one more season?
