Let's chat about real bad customer service.... it's happening all around and people just tek it... I think we have a right 2 know why not to use a partcular service and which companies to stay away from because of poor attitudes...

Here in Barbados, KFC say nutten and the non-KFC owner of the other place is a vindictive klaat who tried 2 eff me up with my Gen. Mgr!

I made the mistake of sending a copy of this 2 him, but luckily it was done on my time at MY computer at home and I did not mention my workplace :eusa_wall

The amazing thing was, he checked 2 see if what I said was true and he acknowledged what happened was against his own regulatory procedures, yet he get vex as I dared to send this 2 my friends, God bless BCC:

There needs to be something really done about Customer Service or the
lack thereof at both KFC and Chefette, and until that time, no one
should buy from them unless they develop manners and common-sense!

On the night of Thursday the 24th Feb. '05 I finished my late shift
and my wife came to pick me up from work, both of us had a hard day
and neither of us felt like cooking - so we decided to fast-food it...
Big Mistake!

Went to Cheftte Wildey, stopped at their Drive Thru and WAITED ages (3
to 5 minutes) before a response which was to hold on MORE (2 mins.
further) then ask for a Dinner Mate, told that you gotta wait 15 mins.
for chicken and decide to ask for all-beef rotis instead and learn
that that's outta stock also, only chicken rotis (they, along with
Chefette's chkn. sandwiches give me the runs, avoid 'em like the
plague) and so we decide to try KFC Collymore Rock...

How dumb was that? They shut already at 11:30, "We shut!" was the
terse reply snapped at us from the drive thru glass that remained shut
during the whole encounter!

As if we didn't suffer enough, we sojourned to Chefette Rockley, and
learned our Dinner Mate was 3 legs and a wing with no napkins nor
ketchup after the fact... We only realised the legs bit at first and
asked about it, and were told that that's all that's left! Good Lord!
You couldn't've told us beforehand? Wait 'til we done spend the money?
Jesus Christ Almighty, man! What utter CRAP!!! If we see the li'l man
in the chef's hat the rest of this year, it'll be too damn soon,
y'hear??

As if that wasn't enough, we traipsed over to KFC Hastings and bumbled
thru their drive-thru which although open was lacking in stock and
manners... "We en't got no corn at all!" 'Please' and 'Thank You' must
be Russian insults for them, too!

So, in essence, dear friends ... you have three alternatives - buy
your late dinners early from either Big John's at Mall 34 on Broad
Street or even better yet, The New Thriving Chinese Restaurant on
Country Road at the old ICB Building (where their Sweet and Sour pork
is not any flour balls but meat in tasty sauce) or, head over to
either Lucky Horseshoe in Worthing or Warrens!

Chefette and KFC never heard of late shift people and never stock nor
cater for them, and the staff that works then is only thinking of
getting home and can't be bothered with what YOU want, even though it
is YOU who enable them to get a salary!

I don't know about their customer service but I loved Chefette chicken. I enjoyed it when I visited Barbados almost five years ago.

Do you got subways in B'dos. I think that their customer service is great here. Anytime I go to get my sandwich, a friendly girl welcomes me with a smile and always interested me in a drink, cookie or muffins to go with my order. Of course that don't work all the time.

PS: KFC in Grenada closes at 10PM, subways and Royal Castle at 11PM. If my memory serves me right, there was Royal Castle in B'dos but they went out of business.

well here in Jamaica we don't have the problem of businesses like KFC closing early. But I have the problem of workers believing that they shud give me what they and want to, and i shud just shut up and take it. I hardly go to those places anymore so i could care less about them.

Well atleast they didn't make obscene remarks about your fiance and then when you sought to intervene, things got a bit unfriendly and you get doused with hot oil!!! All in all...all you did was money and time. Leftovers don't sound so bad now does it?!!!

Well that's a problem in MANY of the smaller islands. Like Grenada, stores' hours at 8am to 5pm which is the same hours as the working people. Like if that makes sense. Even when tourists boats visit on Sundays or Public Holidays, no places in town open.

Places like Jamaica and Trinidad especially fast food, open all hours. 6AM in Pizza Hut in Trinidad, can't get a seat!!!!!!

Yep bad customer service is every where. I remember when I was living in Barbados and I was going home to Jamaica, I went to the bank to with drew some funds and get US currency, I won't name the bank :) Of course they had me going all over the place, because diff ppl were giving me diff info. I had to really put my foot down and let them know that this was nonsense.

It weird in that when I got home to Jamaica and was leaving for Canada, I had a problem with the bank in Jamaica and when I told them that I was going straight to senior management whom I know I got immediate response.

Came to Canada and encountered yet another problem with the a bank here, where the person who suppose to open my accoun told me she was at lunch and I should come back later. Of course my mouth drop open in surprise and I asked her if she was the only person who could help me to which she said yes. Anyway, she decided to open the account but then came up with some other story why she couldn't, so I told her thanks and went to another bank:)

BTW TriniBar, I had Cheffetes roti and it made me sick.

Yes it's true. Happened to my friend from school. I'm not sure he got any money but I know the guy got 3 years for "grievous bodily harm". I think they'll be an out-of-court settlement since the guy got convicted......
