The Cost does it Matter?

Ok so I went downtown to buy a shoe the other day. Was walking with a couple of my male friends and a female. So I say this Tommy Hilfiger shoe for $2000.00 and it look cool. I was like yeah I am gonna buy that shoe. The youth dem seh it look good but too cheap it fake. The girls reply was no sah mi nuh wear nutten but name brand an dat too cheap.

I am like who cares it looks good on me so what does the name have to do with it? Should I be spending $5000.00 on a pair of shows just for the name? Or is the is the look I should be going for?

Some shoes look good but they don't necessarily look good on you. :D

Greatis ppl who thinks like that have some form of insecurity IMO. I don't believe in buying something simply because of the name.

Why should I pay to advertise Tommy Hilfiger or anyone else for that matter. In fact they should be paying me.

In any event I hate to wear anything that has a label or rather brand name stamped all over it.

Does it matter if it's fake? To me I would be more concern with the quality. Is it made from good quality material?

i dont buy expensive clothin, i dont see why i should. i dont try to impress people, to hell with them. thats why there are a lot of poor people in jamaica, they buy what they cant afford.

You guys know that these designers are racists also? I think it was Hilfiger, but he says that he didn't create his clothes for black people to wear. The thought of black people wearing his clothes disturbs him. He hates it. :rolleyes:

not all of them angel. but yes hillfiger is racist. i personally don't like hillfiger, not only because he racist, all his items that he makes looks like the next. look at his shirts, all of them plaid with red and blue, ridiculous. shoes same thing. all his designs are replicas of the next.

I don't spread rumours, especially from email. In fact, I write back to people who spread stupid rumours without searching, and let them know. Of course, most times they don't research it. It just sounds plausable so they send it a long.

But it seems it must be a rumour if even Oprah denies even having an interview with him. My gosh.

I'm glad it's really a lie. I need to reprogram my brain with this new information. :eusa_wall

Hey Arch, I heard about this too, so u are not the only one. In magazines u see black models advertising the product, that confuses me cuz I am sure he is a racist :eusa_thin, ohh well.

I like brands....for the look...they tend to look better than most clothes.....I'd wear knoc off....who cares....it looks like the real thing...and most times it lasts...so i'll wear it. If you like the shoes yute....go buy it.

I buy whatever I think looks good no matter the cost. If I want it, I get it. I don't care if it is name brand or not. Cause I can make anything look good.

So cost is not a factor. No way will I be found in a shoe store comtemplating what to get and what not to get because I know what I want and what will look good on me regardless of others opinions.
