Racism and Prejudice in Jamaica

I was very upset to read this story from Google News about a British family in Jamaica receiving terrible abuse from our fellow Jamaicans.

I live in the UK but my family is from St Andrews and I've often thought about returning but this story has made me reconsider. I think this is a bad advertisement for our country.

I wondered if anyone in Caribyard knew about this and what they thought?

yeah, I heard and read about it and from what I've read the whole situation is really pathetic. This situation is my no means typical of what happens in Jamaica. We have many problems, but this one is at a whole different level.
