Talking it out I guess and then a massage. I guess that can help me relieve some stress.
So how about you....? Cast your vote and state the best remedy for stress and why...

You can't beat a good night's rest to settle down. Then again, they say that stress can cause insomnia ... I guess what works for one may not work for another.

What is stress?
I keep on hearing people talking about stress but I don't what they are talking about. Do you just know when you are stressed? Is it when you are overworked and tired, that is when you are stressed?

When I am overworked and tired, a goodnights sleep really does it for me. Nothing like putting your head down on that soft pillow and covering up in that warm bed and forgetting about tomorrow. Aaaah Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Well the beach for me. I love water so bad.... laying on the sand, strolling on the sand, just relaxing in a hammock etc.

I would say different levels of stress require different methods of 'relaxing' from them.
Sometimes just going in front of my PC doing whatever and not worrying about what ever is stressing me out at that particulr time is relaxing.
Another relaxation method for me is just sit back an listen to some nice R&B/ souls music. Think about the lyrics to the different songs.

LOL, I know I don't get enough of sleep. For me to be totally relaxed I will have to sit down listen to some soothing music in a clean house, candles lit. Then I'd have to be already showered and ready to chill and talk.

The best remedy for stress is to actually know what the source of your stress is and then go from there.

True, its good to know yes and its good if we could cure ourselves of everything that made us sick. But sometimes its just not that simple. :)

Lots of things in life are not simple. However, doing anything else but getting to the source of your stress is just a temporary fix, which in of itself is not a bad thing. Just as long as we are aware that its temporary and realised that it won't cure the problem.

Curing or remedying stress can't be done through 1 act for me...

I like to get a massage for sure, I like to dance, I love being in my house alone BUCK some music.... and dance for a couple hours... gotta practice I didn't get the name BASHMENT for no reason :D:D

Also if I'm in a realtionship... well you know :D

Good Stress Busters:

Exercise and playing sports (Jogging, speed walking, aerobics, playing basketball, volleyball, etc.)

Soaking in a bathtub full of scented water and bubbles.

Taking a walk on the beach.

Swinging in a hammock.

Massage (foot, back, hair, etc.)

And yeah what Gillion said......... :icon_mrgr

I would say sleeping, it's free, cool, you can see any movies you want as you create them.

But the thing that really relaxes me is being alone at home, all the outside doors closed, listening to some music and having a good, sweet bath in a dim light while the br is open to the house.
That is so ....

And before or after some of Gillion's proposal ;)

I don't think there is any best remedy...more a case of what works for each individual. It's also dependent on the nature of the problem causing the stress.

I suppose the best remedy would be to pray about the situation, fix what you can leave the rest to God. However, being human we tend to worry nontheless.

so true....let god take care of it. if he leads you to it....he will lead you thru it...

Just been thinking that my man wouldn't like me to consider him as some human prozac that I can take whenever I feel stressed, or simply whenever I want to forget about my problems. :eusa_snoo
