Went to Campion College and graduated in 1988 and after Sixth Form there, went to University of The West Indies and did a double major in Computer Science and Electronics.
Married to the most wonderful woman in the world (almost 5 yrs) - no kids. I am proud to be a Christian as I find it very fullfilling. :D

Hey peoples.

I'm Franz, from Montego Bay, Jamaica. I consider myself a cool person, I'm into cars, computers/electronics, games (mostly driving simulators) and music (Pop, HipHop, some Dancehall but I mostly listen to trance/techno/ambient). Most people consider my taste in music weird but thats just what attracts me, reason being the popular music nowadays is too vulgar, so I decided to explorer other avenues. My name is Kirk and I lived in Jamaica until 1987 when I moved to Toronto, Ontario Canada. I went to Campion College and graduated in 1986. My interests are Computers, Video Games(I currently own Playstation 2 and XBOX), Sports(Soccer, Hockey, Basketball, Baseball, Football), Airplanes, watching movies(I have 350+ DVD's) and I could go on and on.

Attended Calabar High during my teen years. I didn't get any formal teaching on computers. Everything I know I learnt on my own. Got intrested in software programming and did a correspondence course in visual basic which I passed with flying colors. :D
I did a part-time job with Fujitsu, installing dell computers and servers for NBC, which was fun.

Love computers from I was very young. Love to help people with computers both online and off. Have been helping users on forums and irc chat rooms for over 7 years, with computer and software related problems. After all, that's what angels are for right? ;)

Hi. I just celebrated my 29th year in the US.
The longer I live here, the more I feel like a stranger. I miss my old Jamaica (St. Andrew), and the people, culture and friendliness. Even after living here so long, people still see me as a foreigner, so I long for my country even more.
But I know that JA. is so different from how I remember it.
I used to go to St. Andrew's High (for 2 yrs.), then to Immaculate (took 2 O levels there in 9th grade).
My brother went to Wolmer's first, then to Campion. (We had to move to Central America in between schools.)
Besides missing JA a lot, I've been married (21 years) to a wonderful man (from China Grove, NC) and have 2 beautiful kids (don't parents always say that?), a daughter of 15, and a son of 11.
My boy promises to take me to Jamaica when he makes enough money. He loves JA music and culture (can't get him to like ackee, but they both love dumplings and porridge!), and I'd love to take them all to JA, but haven't been there since '81.
Reading your writings brought tears to my eyes as well as laughter to my heart. I'll be checking this site as often as I can.
Oh, I've been a court and medical interpreter for quite a while, but my husband and I recently decided that it's time for me to spend some time as a housewife and mother full-time now. This might seem strange to some people, but it's a relief for me ... permission to take care of my family the way I want to. The children will be gone soon enough! :icon_cry:

I see where your brother went to Campion, so that means that he comes from good stock :cool: and you were obviously a "brains" since you did 2 O'Levels in 9th grade (3rd form). I bet if you stayed around for 5th form you would have cleaned up those O'Levels ... not as good as some Campionites of course .. but still did well ;)
