Have you ever experienced a hurricane? What was it like for you? Do you think you could handle being through one now?

I been through Gilbert and that was no fun at all. The most frightning experience I must say.

I remember my mother was doing some cleaning in the house downstairs (probably because of the water coming in to the house) and she told my sister and I to go upstairs into her room. So we stayed and waited. Rain was falling and the wind was blowing hard. Then she told us we could go back down. As I was heading downstairs, there was a loud KA-BOOM!!!!!!

It frightned the color off my skin trust me. What was it? It was our roof peeling off of our roof top and flying away. We looked through the window and saw our roof rolling and bouncing along our lawn.

All I know is, after that, my parents room had a nice view of the eye of Gilbert. And I'm not talking about looking through the window.

I survived Gilbert in 88 and now Hurricane Charley in Fl.

I donot have any lights, phone or net, especially net, but I have life and my assets.
Just pick up the pieces and hope for the better is what I can say after such experience.

ALot of people have lost homes and businesses too.
