What is the employment scene like in the various Caribbean islands?
Are there opportunities out there?

hmmm, GOOOOOD question. i'd love to know. This thread needed to be revived, esp. with the passage of the CSME.

any Antiguans here? how the job ting down there yow?

For anyone that needs to know, if you have a UWI Degree you can work in Barbados and I think most Caribbean islands (Barbados I know for sure) without a work permit.

I think the job situation is basically the same throughout the Caribbean. I know it's not good in Guyana. I was talking with some one from there today and he said the job market is terrible.

Will post any additional info I get.

The country is not terrible, the job market there is not so good is what I mean. I will ask him for more info when I speak with him.
