So most of us are busy individuals and sometimes we want to prepare a quick and simple meal instead of going out. So post them here and no I don't mean eggs and bacon or cereal:)
Here are 2 simple meal:
Steak & Potates
If you don't have steak you can use burger patty (the really good steal burger) - you can fry it if you don't have a grill and top it with cheese.
The burger is probably best since it's already prepared so to speak...making it that much quicker.
Wash the potatoe and slice it. Place it in foil and stick it in the oven.
You can add bacon to it too.
Make a nice salad and you are good to go:)
Garlic Shrimp
This is quick especially if you get the already cleaned shrimp.
Saute some garlic in butter (don't let it burn.)
Season the shrimp with salt, oregano, basil and parsley
Add seasoned shrimp to the garlic butter.
You can have this with some garlic bread or, baked potatoes or pasta.
Make a salad of tomatoes, lettuce topped with either feta cheese (my favourite for salad), or parmegian cheese.

quick and simple, hmmmm, when i'm lazy i just take a baking dish and put the chicken in there along with some potatoes and fling it in the oven for a little while. is that simple??
another thing that might be simple, is just tuna or corned beef put that in a frying pan with some seasonings and make some plain ole white rice with mexicorn.
sorry, quick and simple doesn't really know my family. meals are well prepared and are given alot of thought in my house.

Here are 2 simple meals but filling and healthy meal:
Ham slices
Cucumber slices
Tomatoes
Lettuce
Slice Whole wheat bread
Sour cream & mayonaise
Make sandwich with the above and serve with baby carrots & celery. To jazz it up you can had some chips.
Or
Chicken or Ham Salad
Some diced ham or sliced grilled chicken served on a bed of lettuce, baby spinach, cherry tomatoes, diced cucumbers, baby carrots and topped with grated or diced cheese. Quite healthy.
Pasta and Shrimp
Two of my favourite things are pasta and shrimp because not only are they tasty but easy to cook.
A nice simple and quick dish is sauted shrimp seasoned with oregano, basil & parsley and garlic, saute in butter and served on pasta with a creamy cheese sauce. Very quick and easy.

Not really simple, per say, but..:
pita bread
tomatoes
ketchup/tomato paste
onions
green peppers
mushrooms
chopped cooked/torn up meat (chicken/beef/pork/sausage)
grated cheese
Method:
Preheat oven to 350
Slice onion/green peppers/tomatoes/mushrooms
Saute onion, mushroom and green pepper slices till tender, or just slighty cooked (depending on preference)
Take pita bread, spread tomato paste/ketchup
Spread on all ingredients according to preference with cheese on top.
Sprinkle on black pepper and whatever herbs available.
Bake 10-15 minutes till cheese melts, or pita gets crispy enough for you.
MMM good.

Cucumber sandwiches are quite tasty and healthy too.
Simply butter some bread and place slices of cucumber between them making a sandwich.

Drew...lots of those little frozen box dinners in the supermarket. They have all kinds from gourmet right down to just ordinary stuff. Gourmet or not I have yet to taste 1 that I like, so I stay away from them.

the idea of a frozen dinner alone kills it for me. all that nutrients gone, whats the point?? just to full your stomach rather than giving your body vitamins and minerals it needs.

Well if you are a busy student or worker who is constantly on the run then it serves it's purpose. Not everyone has the time to sit and have a proper meal unfortunately. So the frozen dinner serves a purpose.
