A little respite
6:20 P.M. ET Mon.,Aug.16,2004

Tom Moore, Senior Meteorologist, The Weather Channel

August has been an active month as the first three named systems of the year have all impacted The United States. There are two more systems calive in the Atlantic Basin. Fromer Tropical Storm Earl, in the eastern Caribbean, has been downgraded to a tropical wave. There's still a chance that the wave could regenerate into a tropical storm as it steams westward into the central and eventually the western Caribbean. It looks like the system probably will move across the Yucatan Peninsula and not follow the same track as Charley.

yeah JCB, how did you fare in FL with Charley and Bonnie? Never heard about Bonnie still but Chalery licked me good. Now I don't have any light or net or phone....life is so primitive. But I am grateful cause alot of people in the other couties nearby lost homes and businesses.

Florida couldn't handle another now still. So I am happy for that.

OK, so your home wasn't damage. Good to hear. The light and phone will come back, but when your home is damaged it's rough. Just think of this period without light and phone as the good old days on your granny's porch in the country ;)
