Since the site had some upgrades recently, I'm having some problems with the URL feature. Before I had the option to post a URL within a message, example this (http://www.caribyard.com) but now it appears like http://www.caribyard.com and I have to modify the message itself to hide the URL.

Is there any way this can be resolved :icon_ques

Whenever I select the link text then click the "link" button and then add the URL it seems to work for me.

Are you using the small globe link in the message box..that's what I'm using.

Chico, you're right. And drew had the same problem too, as he contacted me about hiding the long url he was posting.

If you're using the Insert Link button on the editor, it will enter the code with the url showing, like so.

http://www.caribyard.com

Before, it use to give you the option of entering text to describe the site you're linking to. This text would be used as the anchor for the link.

You can do this manually, if you know how to use the tags. See here http://www.caribyard.com/forums/misc.php?do=bbcode#url

Chris, we had the option to change modes for the editor: Guided Mode and Enhanced Mode. These were radio buttons right below the Bold, Italics, Underline...etc. editor buttons. I think that might have affected URL option. Not sure though.

That's because I hardly use the editor buttons. I use bold, and quote tags more often. I just type the url tags. So I was wondering what in the world you talking about. :D

I already edit my URL link/messages manually.
