After Round 1 of Womens 100m, the caribbean athletes are looking good. Speaking for Jamaica, our 3 girls have all advanced to the next round.....Veronica Campbell looks good

We need to watchout for LaTasha Colander, Gail Devers and Lauryn Williams. Anyway lets keep watching.

Go caribbean go !!!

I was watching the race. At least one of the heats. I don't know how many different events she participated in. But she came forth and the results were that the top 3 qualified. This was the 100m womens, either quater final or the second heat. Not sure.

No seriously, the Jamaican women are doing very good in the 100m races. A special look out for Veronica Cambell. She beat Gail Devers to come first. And I'm telling you, Gail didn't qualify. hehe

I hear Otto Baldwin from Barbados didnt qualify either. Nad he is one of my fauvorites. :(

God has really been good to Jamaica recently. First He spared us from Hurricane Charley and now another gold medal at the Olympics. :eusa_pray

Big up to the golden girlz for their hard-earned achievements. :D

I can't tell you the immense pride I felt watching Jamaica excel at the Olympics. I live in Canada and when you compare Canada a so called first world nation with a population of 30M ppl to Jamaica, a developing nation with a population of 2.7M ppl we can be proud of our achievements.

Jamaica
5 Medals including 2 Golds

Canada
12 Medals including 3 Golds

I also salute the Bahamas for their 2 medals which included a Gold medal and poverty stricken Cuba with a total of 27 medals including 9 Golds.

I hope that our youngsters in Jamaica can follow the example of our athletes and know that the way to succeed is through the 3 Ds:

Determination
Dedication
Disciplin

Congrats Jamaica!!!
