Why do people overlook the moraly reprehensible stuff done by entertainers/celebs?
Why is it if you believe that R. Kelly needs to go to prison for statutory rape, you are branded a hater ?
Bogle was a known criminal, I have friends who have seen him doing stuff that will get you 25-life.
Why if you condemn his criminal acts, you are said to be "fightin' 'gainst"?
I have been paying a half mind to boards on net about those those guys over last couple of months, and if you say they should be locked up. You are branded as being jealous.
"And as far as the man being a Pedofile, It's girls around the world they put themselves out there like that. If you see where the girl went to scholl at and the girls that go there you would swear that they was some dumb as twenty year old girls. Up here if he's a pedifile then alot of cats in chicago is pedofiles because alot of cats be breaking them shortys off."
"they can put anything on tape so haters shut up .did he mess wit your child if he didn't leave him alone."
Are these people for real...?

Such is life nester-san. Quite often, when persons speak out against things that are wrong, they face opposition, ridicule, and persecution. They get labelled as being judgemental, vindictive, self-righteous etc. etc. It could be that some people know that what they are doing is wrong, but justify it, and whenever someone speaks out against it, the perpetrators are reminded that what they are doing is wrong, and it makes them feel bad. They don't like feeling bad. They want to hold on to the "good life" they've gotten by doing wrong, and don't want to feel badly about it. In the case of the fans, they want to hold on to a certain image of the entertainers which they idolize. They don't want anyone tarnishing their idol's image. They themselves may be involved in similar activities, or condone the lifestyle of their idols. They see people speaking out against the wrong their idols do, as a threat to their own lifestyle.
Now you know how many Christians feel. (Sorry, couldn't leave that alone) :eusa_shif

No, I have no probs with moral or christianity AS I HAVE SAID, my problem is because I believe in personal morality, using christianity as a basis for arguing a point with me is useless, and leads to frustration on both sides.
It's ok, that you slipped that in there, I have no probs with it. My personal experiences with christians have not been pleasant, and for me quoting bible verses cannot a good argument make.
I personally know only ONE person, this friend of mine, who is a life long christian, who I can argue with her about morality and stuff, and she can argue from a standpoint of a reasonable person without starting to preach.
She knows quoting the bible as an absolute rule book is pointless, so she does not include it in arguments, I think she is a HOTTIE, but I respect her christianity/beliefs enough to never ever bring up anything inappropriate with her.
So BCK is not marked, not at all!!

No worries nester-san. I'm of the belief that Christian principles are founded in practicality, it's quite plausible to argue morality based on practicality.
I guess though, as humans, we don't like being "shown up" or comdemned. It doesn't feel good. Plus, if it's another human being, who is just as prone to making mistakes as we are, who is the source of such perceived condemnation, then we get defensive, because "What right have they to judge? They're fallable just as I am!"
I believe there is a difference between pointing out when something has deviated from accepted correct moral standards, and being judgemental. When you say, "R Kelly is a pedophile because he had sex with a minor." That's a statement of fact. When you say, "R Kelly broke the law." That's a statement of fact. If you say "R Kelly should burn for what he did." then you're getting into judgement territory. All we are really qualified to do is observe, point out and suggest. We aren't qualified to pass judgement.
There is value in letting someone know when their actions are not consistent with what is right. That's one of the first steps in encouraging change for the better. They won't change if they don't know or don't accept that they need to. We can't change anyone, all we can to is point out, suggest, plead with, and try to convince them, so that they can make the right choice.

I wouldn't burn him, but to be honest even if he goes to prison, he will be treated like royalty.
As much as I would say I want him to suffer a bit, it would not be right, and I am not hard enough mentally to inflict or being a judge condemn him to heavy duty physical punishment, so chawing at jaw about fire' bun and him fi get lick is about my limit.
He needs counseling or something, or COMPLETE isolation from all human beings for a bit, so he can reflect on his crazyness.

Hail
Nice points BCK
Why are we surprised at such behavior ?
We see the image of the so called bad boy- loner type being proliferated in all types of media. The so called Dirty Harrys who lives by their own rules and the heck with what society says, in fact you can't have a movie without that character, you can't be a rapper or a dj or whatever "stuper-tar" without having such persona.
We see the media glorifying the type as they concentrate their attention on them, so the message is sent that the anti-hero is the "HERO" and the percieved alpha male type. The masses live vicariuosly through them and believe that they are untouchable and emmulate them in their own lives, unable to separate fact from ficton or make their own judgements on morality.
As "Cause and Effect" takes effect the mindless are herded towards a total chasm which leaves them numb and the society polarized, such behaviour is expected and unfortunately it is something we have to live with, something we have to protect our children against.
But the real crime is that no one takes responsibility, "Almighty God" is the dollar bill, might and strength of cash is "Right", the nay-speakers are all "HATERS".
That's why Rasta will contiue to bun di fyaah, the voice and conscience of the society and of morality MUST be heard without fear of being labeled as preaching or as zealots, wahtever or whoever we are it is our responsibility to speak out against these things or else our silence condemns us.
We cannot hide behind any frock tail, or books, or in church or anywhere else as we are all exposed, we have to make ourselves be heard or else our children will believe that there is no opposition.
Lets change this world, one soul at a time, take back the balance of power, tip the scales towards righteousness.
I say BUN a pedophile
