i was just watchin the Ellen degeneres show and she was lookin for the smallest apartments in NY. i saw an apartment the size of my bed room for $500 US a month, and isaw another one the size of my varandah for $1100 a month.
why is rent so high and the places so small

the rooms are small like a prision cell, icouldn't live in them

you need to look at the rooms in tokyo. then you'll feel cramped for high prices. but ramesh is right, and its also happening in kingston. studio apartments can easily reach 4mil, where u can get a town house in st. catherine for less than that.

Hey, I live there and basically its high because of supply and demand, plus its a city (fast paced, more people), and so the cost is high and the space may be small.
However if you go to other areas, cost is high but worth the money for the space.
