I recently saw a news report where someone hung "good ol' Saint Nick" by the neck, tied his hands and blindfolded him. I thought it was hysterical, and I thought they should've lit a fire under him too. Unfortunately due to my point of view, ppl now think I'm the Spawn of Satan!!! ...oh well.
I just wanna know what you all think bout this? I personally don't support the whole Santa Claus thing. I think it's ridiculous. Does anyone agree/disagree and why?
Should we really be telling our kids that some pot bellied, freak in a red suit, with white unkempt hair and who lives in some fantasy land, buys them the gifts that we worked so hard to get for them??? :eusa_snoo :eusa_snoo

You know, every Christmas another movie comes out with the following theme: Christmas has to be saved. Santa is dying.
Because kids have stopped believing in magic or Santa Claus or some other fairy story, Santa Claus will be unable to deliver his gifts and only with a giant group of people suddenly singing Christmas Carols about white snow and Sana Claus can his sleigh gain enough power to deliver the gifts.
Its like these magic beings only draw their power from our belief in them being real. If we stop expressing our belief in them they die.....?

Burn Santas
Christmas was not originally celebrated for some fat, white man riding in a deer driven sleigh. And most kids are losing the original focus or point.
My kids won't have to worry about being good or bad for no gift...str8 belt dem a get if dem bad and lunch money if dem good.

Santa and Barbie really get on my nerves still. I hate the fact that these fantasy figures are so glorified. WTF??? I really don't get that. Is reality that bad? No blasted man can go round the world in a day muchless a couple hrs. And if he were real, him definitely never visit me and I've been such a good girl;) . Also no blasted woman looks like Barbie. Screw them both. Whe' the baygon and lighter deh???:icon_twis :icon_twis :icon_twis

I have no problem with Santa Claus, though I personally never believed in him, I mean I didnt have a chimney growing up for goodness sake  .
But seriously, I see Santa Claus has harmless fantasy for kids who at certain ages have very active imaginations. Its the same thing as having an imaginary friend for tea time or doll time. Kids with normal mental development will grow out their fantasy world, particularly when they hit high school.
As far as Barbie, I prefer to buy my kids books!
