Yes the media has taken it to the limit. You cant turn on the TV now without seeing it. So your only alternative is if you dont want to see it. Dont watch it and pick and chose the programs that you do want to watch. That's what I do. Im not sex obsessed, so I dont have to watch it all the time. But people think that what sells movies and when they put it out there people watch it. So what can be done about it. So if you have a problem with that program or movie. You can just not watch it. cool ;)

You're talking about a program or movie Ponda, but even the advertisements contain some sexual conotation. As they say "Sex sells". Watch some of the advertisements and see how many ads contain some hint of sex in there. You would be amazed. (or not)

yeah, unfortunately sex (& violence) sells so we're bombarded with it in all forms and avenues. Have you noticed how we're slowly becoming climatised to all this? Look at a current movie that's rated PG-13. This movie would have been rated R not so long ago.

Yeah commercials are filled with such. I still wonder if sexual appeals can draw persons into buying stuff.
There was one time I saw a "pure" spring water commercial with a lady in a bikini bathing in the spring where they get the water or something like that. I said to myself: I ain't drinking that cause that water is polluted ;)

That made me laugh Chico (lol). You guys are absolutely right! So what can you do besides not watch TV or dont own one. Some people dont watch TV it my be hard to believe in these times. But some dont. You right its everywhere, look at the soap operas. Like Bold and Beautiful. They really get carried away. My moms hooked on these soaps. What do you think about a person who is christian watching these soaps and cant do without them?

hmmm sex has been the new found marketing tool from the early 90's till now. It's being potrayed in everything we see and wear. No wonder the kids are so hooked on it. They see it every day on the milk carton they drink from to the television and the back pack they wear to school.
It is rather sad.

The media is going to use whatever will get their products sold and unfortunately for some of us it's sex. It's what seems to sell. If they thought religion could sell products they would use that too.

Do you find that the media is obsessed with sex? I sat and listened to a few tunes and everyone on the Cd, mine you, 74 songs and 97% of it was about sex. Gees, can't we just tome it down a little. Is that all the world is made up of? Sex, sex, sex? I was disburted a lil by this and had to pull the CD out. Or if its not sex, its women and cheating...gosh...there are also other interesting things to talk about or sing about.
Sex sells they say....but what else doesn't? I guess because people would rather sit and listen or talk about sex more than anything else. Topic of interest to people. :eusa_doh:

Yes even some G rated movies are not fit for children.
Does anyone watch the channel Noggin?
Its a kids and teenage channel, I was watching Blues Clues with my 6 year old cousin and a commercial advertising one of Noggin's new programs aired.
Outline of the commercial two teenage girls are on a bed, then they suddenly look deep into each other's eyes and begin to kiss on the lips.
This is a commercial shown during Blues Clues at around 6:00 pm!
The media is obsessed with sex and why shouldnt they be; sex sells.

That’s a whole new thread.
People start thinking about sex from age ten or earlier (human are born this way), so it’s no surprise that TV ads are going to target people and bombard them with sexually incline advertisement. Having sexual urges are as natural as breathing so researchers are going to target you.

That is just a bit too bloody much, as bad as I am, I matured sexually at a VERY late age in comparison to most jamaican males, and that is NOT age appropriate.

yes, but MTV is not for kids, do not let anyone tell you otherwise.
If your kids need music, let them watch MTV2 during daytime hours.
Utilise the V-Chip, I think it works out here too.
My friend has 3 boys and he uses it, nothing past Tv-14 for them.
