I concur with Master Clem. The deciding process has to be a little less subjective, or at least, put in more categories.

I'll start off with a few suggestions for categories:

1. Most Prolific thread starter: I deem any thread that seeks to provoke deeper thinking rather than entertaining random banter as 'prolific'. Since BCK has started more of such threads on this site than anyone else, he's my first nominee in this category. Second: AngelsKiss

2. Most Exciting Thread Starter: I deem any thread longer than 10 pages to be 'exciting'. AngelsKiss has a consistent talent for starting the most, 10+ page length threads on the site and is thus, my first nominee. Second: Cocoa

3. Most prolific poster: Every once in a while you come across a post that is so brilliant, that it's worthy of ending the thread right there (not that the nuff people on the site, like me, know when to stop). Usually the person who posted it is the least prominent participant in the thread - which only accentuates the conspicuous genius of the post. Bahama Mama is most consistent at doing that, and thus, is my first nominee. Second: Izemi-Clem.

4. Most outstanding Newbie: It's rare that new blood comes onto the site and remains consistently genius in whatever they post. My first nominee in that capacity goes to Izemi-Clem. Second: Easyskanka.

5. Most Hilarious Poster: Anybody who consistently cracks me up is by far, a thoroughly entertaining poster. This one was kinda tough to decide on, since Ramesh, Nester-san, Gillion, AngelsKiss, Jae & Twinkie were waaay up there on the Smile-O-Meter™ gauge. So I picked two people who made me laugh the hardest. First nominee: Nester-san, Second: Ramesh

6. Best Debators: Few people can hold a strong case for or against anything. It doesn't matter who's right or wrong, it's an issue of who's arguments were structured best. First nominee: BlackCryptoKnight (obviously), Second: AngelsKiss. It was a tough toss up between AK and BM for runner up - but since AK posts more frequently, her nomination seems more fair.

7. Most Iconic Avatar Choosing an avatar is tough (unless you don't care). I find that those who choose an avatar that most succinctly captures their personality, also produce posts that are consistent with that electronic iconification of their virtual selves (your residual self image). Now at least one of my personal nominees has since changed their avatars - but the reflection is still vividly etched in my mind.

First nominee: AngelsKiss - Avatar: Faye Valentine from Cowboy BeBop. If AngelsKiss were to jack into the Matrix, I figure she'd look EXACTLY like Faye Valentine. The personality temperament is remarkably consistent between both "characters". :D

Second nominee: Manu - Avatar: Mr. Incredible. I won't say why this character is an almost perfect representative of Manu (too personal for a public forum) - but having conversed with the dude on a personal level, the avatar is PERFECT. Curiously, his other half's alter-ego would most nicely fit into Elastigirl's shoes. Excellent choice. :eusa_clap

8. Most outstanding male: Ok, this one is purely subjective. I thoroughly enjoy going toe to toe with Master BCK more than anyone else in recent history (on or offline). In fact, I always get excited when we disagree about something, for that is always grounds for an elightening debate. (Yes, I know, I'm addicted). But I think the consistent display of maturity and professionalism has made an impression on most people - whether or not you guys were on his side of the fence. So BCK would be my first nominee. Second: Gillion - for very similar reasons. But be careful both of you, Izemi-Clem is set to take this nomination from you next year. ;)

9. Most outstanding female: Again, purely subjective. It's hard not to place BM and AK in the same boat and equally more difficult to pick just one. But I've rarely come across females online with similar levels of intelligence, who are consistently (and effortlessly) able to articulate well and leave lasting impressions on their readers. First nominee: Bahama Mama, Second: AngelsKiss.

10. CaribYardie of the Year: If one were to choose based soley on the "impact level" on the site, AngelsKiss would probably win hands down (as evidenced by her ballooned post count! When did you hit 3000?!). But her contribution style is different, since BCK's approach is equally prolific (quality over quantity). Thus, my two nominees in this category are:

Second: AK

As for the "Best Newbie" section, I disagree...it's challenging to deem someone as a newbie. I noticed Xeno has Easyskanka as a choice for best newbie. Skanka has been a member of caribyard for the past six months..not new to me :icon_eek:

As for the other choices..I'll give it a thought :)
