Caucasions and Their Smell

Guys I need a little help here. I hear people saying that Caucasians have a particular odor. Some Jamaicans say they smell Raw. What causes this? Is it their Hygiene or is it Genetic? Do you smell it too?

Do we as Black people have a smell towards or caucasian counterparts?

Body Oders are general as a result of the diet that we consume as well as hygenic practices.

Ones diet has a lot to do with the way we smell. It affects they mineral content of the perspiration that comes from the skin. In addition how frequently the person perspires affects how "high" the persons scent maybe.

I work with and know alot of them, the ones I know don't smell. Its the few during winter that don't want to bath same way as the blacks. I don't want to attach a particular scent to a person because of their color but I have noticed that many cultures have a specific odor.

Body odor is not subjective to one particular race and it’s ridiculous to even entertain the presumption that all caucasians are raw.

Every human being is unique and no matter how some people might think they "have no body odour" that's not true. Various levels of hormones in the body (male and female)play some role there. Infants of all race(that I have come across)do not have "bad/raw body odour"...it is when they get older that the hormones become "active" producing what we know to be body odour.

Actually Nastro is correct, body ordor can also be as a result of diet so you will find a particular race smelling a certain way. For example, Indians here usually smell of curry because they consume curry every day. In fact it is so bad that even their homes smell of curry.

The North American Indians used to be known to smell of corn, again because of their diet.

However, bear in mind that bad body order is not as a result of any particular race since people are people where ever you go.

Nontheless, many whites especially here in Canada do not bath as often as those of us from the Caribbean. This is because of the climate.

For example, I had one colleague asked me why I have to bathe twice each day even during winter and I pointed out to her that it was what I was acustom to. She went on ot point out that I was losing my natural body oils. I explained that, it didn't matter to me since I like bathing twice every day.

I don't know of any raw caucasians, however, im sad to say that 1 middle eastern friends that i have do smell kindof bad.

Nastro is right. White people eat more starch than we do. Unmedicated, they do smell different. Not bad, just different. Nothing weird about that. It's common knowledge.

But what's going to bake your noodles guys, is that we smell different to them too! Because our diet is comparatively different (we eat LOTS of carbs), we also have our own distinctive smell. However, because we live in a country where we smell black people everyday, our noses accept that smell as "normal".

If a white person comes in our midst, they will smell us, and vice versa, since the nose on each person is now encountering a different environment and a more pungent, unfamiliar smell. So it becomes noticeable - not because it is bad, but because we don't smell it everyday.

I can not understand the Rare meat thing.

I love meat, from it have bone it can eat, but it must season and well cook down, till all the bone can eat.

I do notice though that when my Italian mood takes me and I eat LOADS of raw/cooked garlic in food (like 2-3 bulbs per meal), when I sweat, I can smell faint garlic, so...

Eating Parsley should help with the garlic smell. Theu say the chlorophyll content in Parsley act as a deodorizer.

I also think that moving from a temparate climate to where the sun constantly parches the skin might also cause this smell. I've noticed that black ppl living in england for decades sometimes smell a bit parched when they are out in the sun too long.

Any diet that causes you to smell "weird" can also be as a result of:

Changing your sheets every three months
Wearing in the same undies three days in a row
Going on strike against the shower
Using deoderant as needed then deciding you don't need it...etc.
