Directed by Paul Haggis (Million Dollar Baby) from a script co-written with Bobby Moresco, Crash attempts to examine the racial implications of a city where most of its inhabitants are isolated from social interaction inside the bubble of their cars. I just saw it finally.

It is so depressing, I had to stop watching it twice. :icon_cry:

If you ever need to feel down and depressed, give it a whirl.

It is bittersweet, in a way that makes you want to forget you actually saw it.

The scene with the guy and his daughter :icon_cry: :icon_cry:

Very good movie though, with only one or two glaring illogical actions.

Trust me, all who haven't seen this movie, need to go watch it. Modern day racism at its best.

Good thing the daughter had sense to buy blanks, good thing the father cant read english as well :)

But you know when the wife got fondled by the cop, you know she cuzed it to herself... "Get back in the Car Maam, dont maam me!!, just do as he says honey.. You shut the f up" :eusa_snoo

Good movie just got around to watching it on Sunday.
@ Virus don’t agree with the view she caused it on herself. That police man was intent on harassing them, and she only wanted to defend her rights and the right of her man. Although I understand why you would say that still.

I am hearing that the movie wasnt as great as it is being purported. It apparently doesnt bring any novel light to race relations in fast paced and mullti-ethnic Los Angeles.

Okay so I finally got around to watching Crash, and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed. Brought nothing new to the table as far as race relations, but it was a really good plot nonetheless. It really showed how ironic life is, and how we are all interconnected in some way, even though we think we are worlds apart due to race. Great movie. 4 stars.

That movie definately deserved it's oscar over that other movie. I only saw from the part where the guy's wife got fondled... and from that moment own (lol...i know how it sound)...the movie gripped me. The racism and stereotyping behind it was superb. Even the cop that wasn't racist or trying to tell himself that he wasn't racist, ended up killing a black guy because of stereotyping.

Two thumbs way up!!! The movie didn't only show racism from a white person's point of view but also from a black person's point of view. Really great! Plan on seeing it again.....
