I want to start this thread so that people can put their views and facts on religion here. I know there was a question about Jehovah Witness. Jehovah Witness believe that there will be a paradise here on earth and the earth will be destroyed and only some people will be able to live in paradise. Just to touch base on some of what they believe. Does anyone know more about this religion?

The whole other half of my family is Jehovah's Witnesses..serious christians dem.
Kingdom Hall hmm is different though. I know they are very stern with their beliefs.

I am a non-denominational christian so I believe in many ways, we are both different.

I think that religion was introduce back in the beginning when God created earth and the people in it. So I must be able to clarify, but I will have to get back to you Zoley!

It appears that humans need a belief structure to perform. Whether it is a religion or not humans need to believe. Religion is just one of more wide spread forms of belief.

You ever sit one day and feel empty inside even after spending some quality time with your mate? Do you feel that priest should allowed to be married? Do you think this would stop the sexual abuse or do you think that they are hiding their true feelings.
That they are homesexuals and pedophiles? How do you feel about this issue.

Personally, I don't see any reason why anybody should be prevented from having a heterosexual marriage if they are a member of the clergy. God gave us that gift for all and I don't recall it being in the Bible anywhere that priests had to be celibate. There are some people who as a special act of religious faith chose not to be married, and I guess God is ok with that, but it's not for everyone, and it's not required by God.

God knows that people have needs and that's why He gave us marriage - to fulfill them. It's better to be married and fulfill those needs than be celibate and suffer (or get warped).

Being married does not guarantee that a person will not engage in deviant behaviour. There are married people who are homosexual, pedophiles and other messed up things.

I read a book once were a guy entered into the priesthood to hide from his feeling of being gay. This was a fictional book, but doesnt fiction imitate reality only names and situation are changed. So I do believe some of them may do this to hide. But it doesnt make sense to me. And if they men get married to a woman, it does not mean he is going to stop wanting to be with a guy. Alot of the clergy are now coming out in alot of the religions and christianity is taken a big hit from everyone. I have a hard time with my minister being gay. I just dont think I could attend that type of church. but that is just my belief and how I was taught about the bible.

I have some questions about different religions say for instance Muslims. What is there message that they send to people. If they are praying to east and Allah. And then next they are killing in his name. So I dont understand this religion. Also they dont believe in Jesus and the birth of Jesus and how he was conceived. Does anyone know people who are Muslim?
