Post weird or funny or sad things that You have personally heard:

eg;

1: I was washing my hands in the bathroom of a customer. A guy was waiting anxiously at the door, Finally in a voice laced with exasperation he says, "XXX, hurry up no man!"
From a bathroom stall a voice answerd, "My yout' a AXE haffi go chop dis yu know!"


2: My friend was lamenting about how her boyfriend was giving her bun and treating her bad, she said she got vexed and finally confronted him about his womanising abusive ways, after hearing what she had to say, she said he looked her dead in the eye and said, "Babes, a ME star my show."

it was christmas time, and i was shopping for my family... i just had one more person on my list to go and i had quite a bit of money left, but i intended to save it. This lady came up to me and said, "beg you a likkle money nuh miss."
and i replied "i don't have any, sorry."
Just as i was walking away i heard behind me the same lady saying to her little daughter "Oh God me really try tiffany but mi nuh have the money fi buy it fi yuh this christmas y'hear?"
"it's ok mommy."

Overheard #1

Once I was in the men's room @ Carib during intermission and I heard a young woman's voice in one of the closed stalls say "No man. Overheard #2

At a TechJamaica link up some time ago, I overheard two guys talking to each other amidst the large crowd in the vicinity. Apparently, they hadn't spotted me lurking nearby, checking out one of the cable & wireless girls. My back was turned to them. Their convo went like this:

Guy 1: Yow my yute, guess who me spot roun' a de Anngel boothe?
Guy 2: Who?
Guy 1: Xeno!
Guy 2: A lie!
Guy 1: True true! Me frighten yu see? 'im nuh look nutten like wha me expec'
Guy 2: Wha mek?
Guy 1: Me did tink a wa ol' white guy!

And I was like: :eusa_eh: followed by :rolleyes:

Dat me a seh too. Him ave whole eap a sense. When him spot me a come home from work the other day, I had no way to identify him, he's been on my messenger for months now and to no avail...I'm still lost to his looks.

- Not really. We were just introducing ourselves and I walked over to Nastro and shook his hand (for the first time). He was like "I'm Nas" - I responded: "I'm Xeno"...

...that's when there was quite an uproar from the guys in the surrounding area:

"Yow, see Xeno yasso! A Xeno dat? Oooh a yoouuu!!! A him dat fi real? Oooh zeeeen!"....etc. etc.

...and I'm like: ...o... okaaay :eusa_eh:

Those two guys were among those "in the surrounding area".

But believe me, about ¾ of all the people I've met on TechJamaica thought I was white - and then had the gall to admit it to my face. Amazing... :rotflm:

I'm not offended by it though. That's largely because I know why people keep thinking I'm white. But I'm not gonna discuss that here. :eusa_ange

I guess based on what i have seen it's all in the way you carry yourself... not that you can act a race, but there are certain qualities generally associated with a particular race and you posses quite a bit of the white ones...

For the record, I think Spider-Man can kick Batman's hide, primarily because:

Spider-Man has superhuman reflexes, Batman does not
Spider-Man has superhuman strength, Batman is just a well built man
Spider-Man has spider-sense, bordering on precognition. Batman knows Ninjutsu...
Spider-Man has highly effective long range attack methods. Batman has to rely on his gadgets, which would be rendered ineffective, against Spider-Man's precognitive spider sense.


It would be a close match, but ultimately, I think Spider-man trumps Batman any day of the week. Heck, not even the X-Men fighting as a team are any match for Spider-Man. They've faced off multiple times against Spider-Man over the last 40 years, and Spider-Man wiped the floor with their hides everytime. Only prof X could probably stop Spider-Man without lifting a finger.
