This is my question, I go around to alot of forums and I participate in some of them and others I just look around. But my question is this why do people post threads and then expect people to answer them and they dont have the same consideration for other folks? It has been something I was wondering.

Do they think that there post are the only post that are qualified to be answered? I dont get it. If I post something I would hope to get an answer. But sometimes I answer my own thread. But I always try to answer other people post. Because I think that is just part of being on the forum in the first place. Now some questions I may not answer, because I may not be interested or I just dont know what to say to that post. But most times I try and be considerate to others on the forum. It was just something I was wondering about. Hope you can answer these questions. :) Have a Blessed Day.

What I saying cuz, is that they come in the forum and they post an they dont answer other peoples threads. You see what I mean they just post and want people to answer them and they dont post to other peoples. I was saying I try to answer other peoples threads too. Thats what Im saying. This place needs more people. :) Everyone who is just viewing come in and post and join me. Im lonely here. :icon_mrgr

i try my best to post in as many threads that i can. i pretty much read all the threads except the homosexual ones, don't know why, i just don't ok. sometimes its because i have nothing to really add to it, or i don't think that what i am going to type is something that really needs posting.

when i believe someone made a direct post to me and i don't think it has good terms i stop replying in the thread to avoid any further conflicts.

the site does need more people, but wouldn't you say that its growing. so give it time. everyone has their part to play in this community, tell your friends about the site thats the way its gonna grow.

Unless some one has started a new thread, I would think that what we are doing is responding to someone else's post.

Anyway, I personally wouldn't take offense if ppl don't respond to 1 of my post. We have to realised that ppl will have valid reasons for not responding of which I can think of 3 (listed below) at the moment and it is not necessarily because we are not thinking of others. With the exception of respect, I don't think we have a right to expect anything on a public board such as this one.

1) I may not have an interest in the topic, so why bother to post on it. For eg - I am a readaholic and I don't go out and buy every book written. If I am not interested in something I am not going to get involved (except its an important cause). What good would that do me especially when I have limited amount of time.

2) I would like to think most of us are working ppl and we just don't have the time to read and respond to every thread on here.

3) Like Drew said some topics may cause conflict and some of us would prefer to avoid it.

There are numerous reasons for non-replies including those already mentioned. In time with more persons coming on board you'll find more than enough persons to post replies :) The important point to note at this tme is that we just need to keep up the friendly environment that will attract many more new and active members.

true chris. if guests see a site with pure fighting, why would they join. but overall i think that this is a more than friendly site, just read the introduction posts and you'll feel the warmth in this place.
