Oh tell me about it. I heard that sniffing water may help. It does for a while but not the best. I drift to sleep or eat something or just relax.

Sniffing warm water or salt water helps with sinus. Don't knonw about just regular water though. This head I have is sinus related. The weather fluctation is what causes it I think.

It could be many diff things Drew. As I said mine is sinus related which I think is as a result of the weather and seasonal changes here in Canada.

do you know the real name of your sinus problem??
i don't really have a sinus problem, i have acute rhinitis, or something like that. its pretty much the same just a little worse in certain ways. so i just tell everyone i have a sinus problem.

I suffer from both infectious and irritant (vasomotor) rhinitis and occassionally allergies due to pollen.

so you have something similar to me. pollen and any type of fur kills me.

Somewhat, but its a bit more than that. Fur does not bother me. Here are some stuff that drives me nuts causing headaches, running eyes, and sore throat:
Cigarette smoke, strong odors and fumes including perfume, hair spray, other cosmetics, laundry detergents, cleaning solutions, pool chlorine, car exhaust and other air pollution.
The weather here in Canada is also a big factor, sometimes giving me infections. Darn this is kinda a disgusting topic. I am not so sure we should discuss this here.:(

No it's not, not with all the vehicles here and the smokers here. For example I work downtown Toronto and if you step outside for fresh air, all you inhale is smoke.
Plus the constant abrupt changes in the weathe does not help e.g. the day before in the morning is was 13 degrees and yesterday it was 19 degrees and that is mild compare to other times. We have basically not had any summer this year not that I am complaining, I like cold weather (yeah am one of the weird ones).

If my memory serves me correct...I think all the polution from down south goes up north...i.e. over Canada. Not sure how factual it is.....but I know I heard it somewhere before!

I have heard that too but trust me, Canada produces enough of it's own without needing to blame their neighbours.

But isn't Canada vastly under populated? I think the number of people living there is about 33 Million (answer to a trivia question at church and I won a USB key:icon_mrgr). It is also Mountainous and love lots of trees so I don't think they themselves produce too much...atelast they shouldn't. Any ways, get an air purifier. I bet your nose burned you when you came to Ja and went up to blue mountain. Clean air purge you system...lol!

Um...AK...it's not Nutmeg....it's Nut-Med....it's a brand...I think it is short for nutritional medicine. Drink lots of water so that your body can get rid of whats inside you. Keep a damp, cool handkerchief or cloth on you or something. When you feel a headache coming on...stop...drink some water...relax and put the cloth on your temple. Then if needs be, you can massage the side of forehead....clockwise, anti-clockwise and alternate each finger. Some times it works for me...some times it doesn't...but it's worth the try!

You know that Nut-Med is produced by a local doctor in Grenada :) It's actually a combination of all natural oils including Nutmeg oil, Methyl salicylate, Menthol, Coconut oil, Mace oil and Alcohol.

Greetings Brethren and Sistren......
You might want to take a wholistic approach to your ailment, look not at what has happened to you, but where it might be originating.
where you born in canada? when did this started? what has happened / occured in your life since your have notice these headaches? Has your life style change? Make an analysis and you might find the root cause. As long as you weren't born with it or it is not heredity... it must be an outside element or environment.
I live in the states, born in Jamaica, and I often exhibit some of symptoms you have described... I never had allergies to pollen/grass/trees in JA, but at the begin of the fall and spring in the states, I am a total mess. Most recently I was sick as a dog over the xmas holiday, I arrived in JA days later and I was perfect.
A simple thing as the heater in your room, the change of season, a new cologne or perfume... any simple changes or events can cause your body to react... As a herb fanatic, I always suggested cleansing your body at the change of each season and your diet according
