Forum Feature: Ignore a Member

You guys might have missed this little feature of the forum. Has someone been bothering you lately, or has been posting only nonsense that you can't bare to read?

Don't worry, the forum has the option for you to ignore that person and all their threads and posts. You won't have to read their posts again.

While viewing the persons profile, click the "Add <member> to Your Ignore List" link. It's right below their user name near the top.

This will block all posts/threads from that member.

To manage your friends and ignore lists, go to your User CP (http://www.caribyard.com/forums/usercp.php) and from the menu on the left, click the "Buddy / Ignore Lists".

Hope this helps some of you.

Does this mean theoretically or factually if I happen to be on everyone's ignore list that absolutely no one will see this post? Does being the most unpopular person have some kind of claim to fame? Can I be offensive to the moderators if I'm also on their ignore list? How will I know that I still exist if no one responds. Is this the most polite way to tell someone that they are now surplus to requirement, hit the road jack and don't you come back no more. Who will be the pack leader so that the rest of the herd will follow?

What's with all these questions? Who cares...there's no one to see it anyhow.

I know some forum software also blocks the quoted messages too. But this is because the quote has an ID number attached to it, unlike vBulletin which doesn't track the quotes.
