If you're a fan of fighting games, this will BLOW YOUR MIND...

Both fighters have 1 round on their belt. The person using Ken has next to nothing left in his energy metre. Enough talk - see the footage here (http://www.spikedhumor.com/articles/4669/Daigo_The_Beast_Unleashed.html?autoplay=true).

Dude, could you parry a multiple hit unblockable combo like that? That's just sick yow. It takes almost inhuman timing to pull that off - just before launching into a super-combo. MAD skillz...

When I played, it was before the versions that did parrying and those super combos. It was just regular SF2 Turbo: Hyper Fighting. But we pulled off some tuff combos back the day.

Parry is just reverse hadukem motion (down to back), the frames of animation make it posible to do it over and over, cause some frames dont register hits.

Drink up your RedBull and Bawlz and you too can be jittery enough to try that.

Guilty Gear is like SF on CRACK and ACID, insaner combo's insaner reversals. I don't even try to play, I just watch..

Bear in mind too that having to responsibilities other than finding an Arcade improves your abilities by 10. LOL

I play SF Alpha 3 (My FAV) on PC.

Did you ever get special ending from beating everyone without losing a single round at hardest difficulty ?

Parry's make you invincible for duration, also I think in some versions give you back a sliver of health.

- It's called a Parry. In advanced Street Fighter games like Alpha and upwards, you can perform a move that doesn't quite block, but shifts away the blow of your opponent while simultaneously delivering a much smaller blow of your own. This technique was taking from the real life martial arts style known as Tai Chi Kwan, in which you use your opponent's energy against them instead of trying to use your own energy to attack, or block their blows.

You perform a parry by precisely timing: Forward + Block at the exact time that a blow from another person is supposed to connect. Ofcourse, timing this is ridiculously hard, since you have to have the same precision as the computer.

What makes this particular clip exciting is that:

You can't block a super combo with less than 8% energy left.

Chun-Li's super combo is unblockable. So even at full energy, he would have still taken a magnificent pounding if he had just blocked.

Chun-Li's super combo is a ONE button sequence move. That means once you execute the button sequence, those blasts of kicks start raining down on your opponent automatically. No need to tap the medium kick button to keep it going.

To parry a super combo move, your timing has to be JUST AS PRECISE as the computer itself - because each kick is being delivered by the computer, not the person playing Chun-Li!

That's why Daigo is recognized as the world's greatest SF/Mortal Kombat player of all time. He's practically a mutant for all we care. That kind of timing is ridiculously accurate.

SF3 Parry is just press Forward when attacked!!

Depending on the Mode, SC's are human controllable!!

He is a mutant though, the best Virtua Fighter players are japanese/asian too??!!

Here's another video of him up against an american dude called Alex Valle in 1998.

In the first set of matches with his Japanese finalist, he's using the Gray Akuma. Watch the wicked sequence of combos he pulls off.

In the next set of matches (the world finals), you can see that the American yute has serious skills as well. But watch how it ends...

On a different note, do you notice the fluidity of animation for SF3, compared to older SF's or even more modern 3D fighters ?

Street Fighter 3rd Strike Makes pulling off the Super Combos much easier.
I recently downloaded a Street Fighter MegaMix with Marvel vs Capcom 2, Marvel vs Capcom 2 Remix, Street Fighter Anniversay (i.e. Street Fighter 2: Hyper Edition & Street Fighter 3rd Strike )

Which game them playing - 3rd strike??

3rd Strike was made for Joysticks though - not D-Pad

Everytime i watch that Parry video, i get goose pimples, seriously!!!

Daigo is paid to play SF. 8 hours of practice normal for him.
Him probably practise using everybody and memorizing them super in order to counter it. Did you realise that him jump CAUSE HIM KNOW that Chun Li combo is coming to an end and him need to finish off this dude??

The man use taunt....IN a FINALS MATCH??!!??

Street Fighter God Indeed

Have originals, the dl had all in 1 DVD. Works out better.

Wait, that link posted by Xeno has Alpha 3 in it....SWEET!

I was thinking about the right game but posted the wrong one.
The Street Fighter game that i want to see footage on is Capcom vs SNK 2.
Just About Right Speed - Combos - just nice!

I believe its the best SF made

Best for fighting games, very high learning curve though!!

Sega Saturn 6 button controller was rated highest for home/console though.

According to www.purepwnage.com episode 11 this is "lusc" , the guy who taught daigo how to parry.
Possible sparring partner for "teh_pnwerer" (Star of the series), who is being taught by teh_masterer (Greatest player of all time; pwned Kasparov (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Garry_Kasparov) and Deep Blue (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deep_Blue) with a bishop and a pair of pawns!!)
