This match is painful to watch. Poor shots on goal, poor corners being taken, passes are alright. But it is hard to watch this game. Really bored.

At half-time, the stats are 8 shots at goal by both teams, with 7 shots going wide. Ghana only got 1 shot on target which got them their goal.

Although Czech Republic is the favorite, they not performing like the did in the match against the USA. Ghana seems to be doing very well against them.

In all fairness...Usa did score. It was disallowed...wrongfully because McBride did not interferre with the shot hence it shouldn't have been offside. The new rule states that the offside is not called unless a player touches the ball or has an unfair advantage and McBride moved his foot out of the way.

Italy was lucky....moreso than USA in my opinion.

I have to disagree with your assessment mr. Manu about McBride not interfering with play...I think he did, because he was obscurring the goalie's vision, plus he had to make a move in order to let the ball run through. :)

LOL.....suppose Italy lose to Czech republic and Ghana beat USA which is more likely anyways...then Bye bye Italians. USA should lose to Ghana. About 3 or four players will be missing that 3rd game based on yellow cards carried over from game 1 and acquired in game 2 plus the two red cards. USA played superbly though......excellent as far as I'm concerned. Not only absorbed Italy's attack with only 9 men but also scored a goal...which would have really opened up that group had it counted.

Skanka....the rule says the offside should not be called unless the player touches the ball. That is the new rule. They even raised the flag late...very late. As if they were trying to make up their minds. It also can be argued that goal than Argentina scored on CIV was offside too because one of the player skipped over the ball that went to Saviola and he scored it. Now it can be argued then that the goal keeper was fooled because he was watching one player who was in an off-side posistion and got distracted. That goal counted.
