How do you feel about braids for women or men? Do you like them and do you wear them. How do feel about them on men with the beads and shells on them. Ladies and gents this is not a gender bias question. Its for both genders to answer please. :)

Cow chain I call them. I also don't like those big pants with the waist below the hip and the underwear showing. What the heck they need to do that for? There is a reason under clothes is called underwear, to be worn under other clothing so we donth ave to see em.

Also that style came out of the prison system where they are not allow to wear belts, so I don't understand for the life of me, why any one would want to copy it:(

Well I have a low cut hair and I don't wear them (JUst twists). I know women who have long hair wear them because they don't want to comb their hair daily, style and fashion and because they just love braids.

PS> My hair can't ketch up in one and I don't wear braids.

Hear wha! Mi nuh really like braid personally.. extentions.. but you're right JCB... a lot of women prefer to wear them just because they're easier to manage.

One time I did have my natural hair in full braids.. it looked pretty for 2 days then because of the texture of my hair, they started to fall out... so to pay $30-$40 every 3 days to have them re-done isn't worth it for me.

Yeah for their TIME alone nothing more and I know who braids hair a girl so it's a LINK. It's MY hair.... if it were extensions it would be a lot more. If I didn't know her to do my hair she would charge 1 bill though.($100)

$400 is only if it's a cut, perm, rinse, weave etc... not for straight braiding.

I only ever get a trim, deep condition or braids... nothing more $100 at most. $400? No still, not me sir.

I spend $300 straight US on braids before. $80 for a pound of hair, then the rest to have it done. Plus this is NEW YORK, they expensive.
