View Full Version : Sausages

Here is something that bothered me during the hurricane.

I was mainly eating bully beef and sausage sandwiches. When making my sausage sandwich I use about 3 sausages per sandwich. After making 2 sandwiches I am left with 1 sausage left.

What am I to do with that one?

If you are sharing up the sausages to your kids for lunch, you can't give them an even amount unless you use 2 tins of sausages to make 14.

But why don't they put 6 sausages into the fool fool tin? It makes it easier to finish the whole tin without leaving 1 extra.

If it's because the tin is round, why don't they make the tin flatter with 3 sausages side by side?

I thought I was bored during the hurricane but Arch beat me by a mile star. He actually sat down and thought this thing through. Bwoy this just goes to show u that no matter how things can be for u, someone else has it worse. All I did was sleep during the hurrcane, But I guess I should have been counting sausages.

Bwoy, you guys a treat mi bad star. It was just a simple observation. lol :P

It's just that when I open a tin of sausage to eat, I want to eat the whole tin and not throw away any or leave back any. That would be just a waste. And no one else in my family going to eat it.

Maybe I was bored. But it bugged and frustrated me that I couldn't eat off the whole tin of sausages. And it's not the first time. I think I'm going to write those suasage people.

Unno stop laugh! I serious!!!! cho!!!

I am laughing so hard, :icon_mrgr I think I should seriously keep this one in my jokes list to pull out at an appropriate time. Your dilema AA is easily fixed - ever thought of just using one slice of bread to make a half sandwitch? (by cutting the bread in half and putting the sausage in the middle?) :eusa_wall

Mitchie - like the broken cupholder joke (without the insults bby the clerk of course) - An apt response would be:

"Mr. AA, thank you for calling. Your suggestion/concern is noted with great interest and will be brought to the attention of the management at this afternoons' meeting. We assure you that this has been a subject of great distress to you, and as a matter of principle we take customers comments and suggestion very seriously." :icon_idea

lol lol lol What a dilema! lol... :icon_lol:

I suggest eating it on it's own or opening another tin lol.
I also suggest sending your dilema to the manufacturer, along with you suggestion of redesigning the tin! LOL :icon_lol:

This was classic.. like the hot dog weiner VS. hot dog bun dilema... it will always be a dilema because it forces the comsumer to keep doing just that! CONSUME!

BG, you have put a serious spin on it though - in that we need to consider the how proportions of standard size food items are packaged. It's saying - eat all of this in one go - when it may not be good for you.

lol.. no it isn't! lol... it's simply saying "If a pacakge of hot dogs comes in 8, and we package our buns in 6.... then we KNOW... you'll need to buy more buns. THEREFORE... we can make more revenue" lol... if you want to NYAM all of the food when you don't need it then the GYM will start making revenue too lol :icon_lol:

True, but i was considering a bag of say cheetos , and they write on the bag the serving size, who is going to count how many were consumed? (and if you like it you can't stop eating it)

Arch_Angel

Bashment Girl, that's another dilemma also. Why the hotdog people them package 8 hot dogs while the hotdog bread people package them in 6.

It's same thing I'm trying to point out in the sausages. Why they put 7 in a tin? If you want an even amount of sausages, you will have to buy 2, or 4 or 6. You going to have some left over, which is not enough for a next sandwich or you're too full to eat it.

Mi tell ya already! lol.... They're forcing you to continue consuming!

This is a BRILLIANT point!

The reason for this is the government telling them they have to label certain things on the package! Specifically nutrition INFO. Now if they tell you that the whole bag of chips is 400 calories... that's not as appealing as 100 cal pr 15 g... they know most people don't intend on doing the math.

This is a good point. Maybe the producers weren't thinking. You can use the other 2 franks for rainy day.

Weren't thinking? lol I would say a lot of thinking went into it. For the same points Bashment Girl pointed out. It's all about the money and forcing you to buy more.

Yep true thing. I think also they need to know how they pack hamburger rolls. They do the same thing but putting 6 rolls in the bag and only have 4 pieces of meat to grill. Mek no sense.

Ahh Bwoy.. unu sooo slow...

U get 2 extra sausages just incase u dont want to use it with the bread... like cut it up and cook it wid ketchup an stuff - cuz den u will jus have extra bread, and its very rare that you'll find anything else to do with the bread, thats y the sausage outnumber the bread...

As for the tin sausage... u really supposed to mash it up with the fork.. and i think they were being nice by giving us 7 sausage fi wi money instead of 6.. the locals call it brawta... but now them might tek it back cuz we complaining...

You see well, the sausage makers never really anticipated that some of customers would have OCD and could only eat food that came with even numbers. :D
