Why do scientists insist on embryonic stemcell research when they can research to their heart's content on and from adult stemcells? It is also said that science can now extract sperm from female stemcells,or something along these lines, so that women would in effect be able to reproduce without the need of males...good news? Or would fathers still be a necessity.

This link might shed some light on the topichttp://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/4213566.stm If the link does not come up;try a bbc link and click on health/stemcells.

Simply, what authority does man have to create life.? None! Man must stop play God!

Simply, what authority does man have to create life.? None! Man must stop play God! Man must indeed stop play God, but he's unlikely to do that when does not acknowledge an Almighty God.

Stem cell research is said to be a force first and foremost for curing numerous human degenerative diseases and conditions, not for creating life...yet? My gripe and concern is the issue surrounding embryonic stem cell research, a process where foetuses destined for the bin are used to derive the relevent cells...supposedly more useful than adult cells.

Those against the practice of embryonic stem cell research claim that the adult equivilent should be more than sufficient. If scientists are given a yard, do they then wish to go the sometimes unnecessary proverbial mile with no real additional benefit other than...it can be done? :eusa_thin

If that is true they could only make other females, because females dont carry the y chromosome that is needed to make a male(god gave eve only one a adams rib not both!)

This is where stem cells differ from everything that has gone before, they contain the full compliment of the human genetic makeup, everything that makes us humans regardless of gender is contained within stem cells.

Providing it's not taken from embryonic stem cells...fine!
