Easy there .... Xeno actually may have a point. Testosterone does give males certain abilites over women and Estrogen does give women certain abilities over men.

One of these where testosterone makes for better performance, is in driving.


Spatial skills such as map reading and parking may be difficult for some women because they had too little testosterone in the womb.

I have to agree with Xeno, a sizeable portion of bad drivers on the roads (at least in Nassau) are women. Its not so much a bias as much as it is a fact. I am sure traffic and insurance statistics can show this.

With that said, thank God there are women out there that dont make this tendency of bad driving absolute in womankind ;)

The funny thing is when I lived in Jamaica and even when I visted there last year, the majority of road problems I had and saw were usually poor driving my males and not females. And believe me I use to drive all over the island because of work and it wasn't just in Kingston.

They attempted to cut you off at every turn in their rush to get where ever it was they were going. They were also the ones who were constantly in accidents from racing or from b aqd driving. Let me not get started on the taxi and bus drivers and 99% were men.

You saying this reminds me of a time a few years ago when I unknowingly caught a bus where the driver was drunk and male. Of course I didnt know this until I almost reached my destionation. I swear the man didnt hit a blade of grass slooping off the side walk (at least for the period when I was on the bus) :icon_eek:. Its scary and fascinating at the same time.

The bus drivers here are rather skillful, especially when they have to maneuver those large Coaster buses on many of our barely two lane roads. But alas they are criminal jackasses that care more for the almighty dollar than the passengers they are transporting.

Tonight is a fine example, the Mr. and I went to a pharmacy to look on a few things and we wanted to open a package that could easily be opened and closed, so we asked one of THREE assistants sitting down, if they could assist us, none of them moved, we simply walked out of the store!! Yep, I hate the loud music in the cars, it makes me wonder, if I can hear it so 'well' outside of your car, then can you imagine what the driver hears??? Such young girls have no manners indeed, one morning I was going on the road and a few of them were at the bus stop in Half Way Tree and they decided to talk even louder when my car pulled up and started to talk very loose and disgusting, I just wound up my window!!

The windshield wipers all over the place is a nuisance to me over and over again; people will forever talk loud on their phones, just so they can make a bystander hear their conversation; the attendants in the service industry indeed believe they are doing you a favour, it all comes back to respect and courtesy; yep the bus drivers who race along the roadway to just get ahead of another bus and/or motorist!!

When some christians believe that the more noise you make, the more likely God might hear them. Apparently, based on the noise level in some synagogues, God has a hearing impediment. I think many Christians underestimate the God that they worship.


When personal preference becomes religion. I seriously doubt that God is going to damn a woman for wearing pants to church. Old timers, get over it.


When people use the Bible to justify any kind of weird doctrine. Admittedly, the Bible is vague enough in spots to lend itself to such maladies. I find it disturbing that so many people are so willing to take 1 line of scripture completely out of context to design a whole new belief system around it.

When people overvalue their post count and go post-whoring - y'know, those pointless, repetative, off-topic, 1-liners people use to rack up post count? Yeah. Themz. People who do that value quantity over quality. They're like kids trying to score points in a video game. Ok, so you've racked up a gargantuan post count. When people put up a facade when meeting you in person beause of a perceived personality they "detect" on the forums. When will people learn that forums only expose a tiny fraction of one's personality? You can never truly know anything about anyone by anything they write on any forum. It could be all bull for all you know. (More on this later).


When people loose their cool on a forum - it's so dumb. Do people really care? I thought forums were just for fun. But I've had a... revelation recently. It came to me while I was trying to classify you mammals. I've come to discover that such people live such uneventful lives that they need an anonymous medium through which to fulfill that need. They only loose their cool because its the only medium through which they can truly be who they really are, with all the benefits of a community without consequence. So if that is threatened, they genuinely feel at a loss, since their lives in the real world are probably not much to get excited about anyway. Thus, the forum becomes their life and thus a threat on the forum = a threat to themselves. These people are easily identified by how easily they get ticked off by silly little things - like someone's opinion.


When people assume they "know" you because of what you write in your posts. That's even dumber than the previous one. Anybody can fake a personality online. I wonder if people have ever thought of that? Heck, I could be an 87 year old, female, vietnamese, World War II veteran living in Bulgaria, who did her research on Jamaica, masquerading as a precocious, 20 odd year old male, who is a Greco-Persian neophyte with too much time on his hands, who sits at one of those exterior French Coffee shops with a laptop and a wireless internet connection, toying with your minds like I used to with Jewish prisoners in Auschwitz back in 1942 war torn Germany... :eusa_shif

When people blatantly disregard the rules and run amok on a forum, then when they get checked by mods, they try to instigate a unified rebellion on the forum, against the admin that built it and the mods that run it. I mean, how desperate you gotta be, if you feel the only way you can define yourself is via a forum? That is so weak. :rolleyes: Here, let's make this simple: Don't throw a tantrum if you don't like the rules. Such behaviour is akin to a spoilt child that OD'ed on glucose.

When mods ban people, and then other people complain about it. That's dumb. You won't get banned if you weren't persistently breaking the rules. That's like asking why Charles Manson got the chair. Oh my goodness, I share your EXACT sentiments!
