the us government dont care about poor black people; i just read an article where even apartments that were not affected by the hurricaine are locked up and they wont let the residents back in, most likely because for years developers have been wanting to get rid of the poor blacks for many years, and Katrina gave them what they wanted.
the us government BITES!

What gets me is that the politicians flip flopped and finger pointed themselves silly while people died. Eeediat ting dat! I really felt it for the poor people whose relatives died right in front of them - some of them while waiting for help to arrive ... :icon_frow

i saw, it,, and i became distraught when thu lady told about her 5 year old daughter drowning,, and also when people gave accounts of how the people would report that they found no dead bodies in a house, but the residents would go home to fine rotting corpses of reltives in the house

What is it with Americans and their morbid obsession with reliving their worst tragedies through film? :eusa_eh:

Don't you realise the overzealous enthusiasm with which they make every tragic event into a movie? Well I guess if you see nothing obviously odd with that, I suppose there's enough of a demand for it over there to spend money on them reliving disaster.

Well they do it for various reasons:
To make money
To spread propaganda
To educate the masses
I hate some of the films of tragedies they make but at least it should help to educate those that come after us.
BTW I think CNN or some TV is planning to show the 9/11 videos online soon. Whatever for I don't know I certainly don't need to see them to remember the day's events. Probably to help Bush get back on the good side of the American public.

This particular documentary doesn't do Bush any favours. In the past, events were chronicled orally, or in writing. Today, they get films made about them, and documentaries done about them.

BCK...Not sure if you are refering to my post :) However, I was talking about the 9/11 film which indeed could get ppl to sympathise with Bush since many still believe that Sadam was in league with Osama.
