View Full Version : There's something about a pregnant woman...

I've been hearing this for sometime now- GROWN MEN LOVE TO SEE WOMEN PREGNANT, AND LOVE TO PURSUE PREGNANT WOMEN. Have you ever heard about this or seen this happen yourself? One woman I met at a clinic said that she had never had so many offers from men to take care of her in her life than in her present (pregnant) state. I thought pregnant women were like repellants- i mean, who wants to take care of a next man's child, really?
What say ye?

Blertneet Juliet you took all my thoughts and turned them into a thread. I've been asking myself this for the past eight months.
It's not just the sex with a **** ******. Appearantly they "say" they want a relationship and have no qualms with the small fact that they would be maintaining another man's sperms.
The offers I've gotten, it's hilarious, more time I stick out my gut further, deluding myself into thinking, "no way they noticed I'm pregnant and approachign me like that" My ring appearantly is not a detterent either...go figure.
And I too thought pregnant women were a repellant...but my my my, it mussi 'gree wid me.

Girl, you gave me a good laugh there!
Me thinks perhaps men are more are "bhaccanalish" in nature afterall than women. I think some men actually like to boast and say " i minin' he chile"; or maybe they just want the opportunity to say "i take way he woman".
I've had men tell me before that they just love to see a woman pregnant. This is always met with a raised questioning eyebrow.
Can any of the men at caribyard shed light on this?
P.S.- When are you due Twinkie?

Oh hell no. That is just wrong. The pregnancy makes it extremely obvious that she have a man. Imagine the poor baby why would it want another foreign object poking at its head. His father's is enough.

I have heard that some pregnant women possess a 'glow' during their gestation period, due mainly to increased hormone levels. Apparently this glow makes some pregnant women more attractive during their pregnancy, especially to the opposite sex. I am not confident that most men would be that turned on enough to take care of another man's child. I think its just pure physical attraction, and lets face it some men would not be that bothered by a big belly, wedding band, etc. to flirt. Some men will flirt regardless.

This statement is true on so many levels, and a real eye opener. I can understand the glow thing, I've had perfect strangers just come up to me and say, "you know seh pregnancy 'gree wid you?" But yes some men are just that, MEN. Look yuh irregardless of missng limbs, exteneded gut or crossed eyes with knocked knees.

This is very true BH. Men are a very sad bunch! God must have something to do with this- men being attracted by the glow, big belly etc. That's kinda twisted don't ya think? Personally speaking, i've never been this big, so even at this stage i'm still adjusting to my new found figure and weight and still wonder (just like Twinkie) how on earth this look could be attractive..
Twinkie, I pray to God that you have a safe delivery and a healthy baby. God knows there's enough to worry about where these things are concerned.

:dwl: :dwl: Juliet, you're da boss. I question the figure thing everyday, I haven't gained as much weight as I expected, but the gut, the gut man! It's throwing me off.
Juliet, I pray you a safe delivery too; seen, read and heard of too many slip ups and difficulties during the last term and delivery. We'll swop stories later on. When are you due??

OK let me take a simple stab at this.
1. A pergnant woman is producing more hormones. This creates a certain glow.
2. I suspect also that Her pheromones are also being pumped out in excess, whic will attract more men and maintain her current realtionship. (hypothesis)
3. Men have a sexual fantasy about getting a woman pregnant. Thusly we project that fantasy on any pregnant woman that we find attractive. This is more evident if she has the "glow" and does not look like a fat, oily, wart hog.
The logic is that a pregnant woman reminds the man about the actions needed to get her there which means SEX WITH OUT BARRIER So the mere fact that some guy got to buss his nut and splash off deep inside her, is simply a turn on. Come now, we men watch porn movies, and part of the thrill is the "splash scene" i thought it would be a simple figure for you brilliant ladies.
4. It stands to reason that this benefits a woman. Most women find themselves un-attractive during pregnancy however the attention given her by men will keep her in a psychologically happy place and reasonably content. It would benefit her self-esteem and pride as well as that of the child who will do well from the good emotions mommy is feeling. I think GOD was wise righ there.
5. Men are WIRED to be nurturing to pregnant women. We would not survive as a specie if this was not the case. This nurturing mode will also manifest/project/or transfer itself feelings in the man that are warm and fuzzy inside

While pheremones do take a role, women don't produce as many when they're pregnant. What Juliet and Twinkie are describing is not a behaviour attributable to pheremones. It is an exceptionally powerful psychological imperative that all men are hard wired with. Men have two in built psychological functions which automatically trip when they detect a pregnant woman:
Alpha Male Simplex - The primal function that makes men 'cocky' is the same function that makes them feel proud to know that they have the capacity to stimulate the creation of life. In simple terms, it's a powerful, heady, "God-Like" sensation. The unction is strongest in married men over age 24. Women concordantly have a similar unction to want to bear a child for men who fit this profile. Have you ever heard a girl saying "I want to have your [referring to some guy] babies!" ? It's the equivalent and opposite psychological function in women of the Alpha Male Simplex.
The Fatherhood-Legacy Complex - All Men are hardwired to want to produce a 'legacy'. At the basest of our (i.e. men's) psychological desires, we derive an overwhelming sense of "fulfillment" from teaching a young child in walk in our footsteps. The psychological imperative of having a legacy is so powerful, that some men quite literally go around selectively impregnating women to have male children - or becoming involved with women who are already pregnant, or who have a male baby. This desire is often a fatalistic, ego-driven unction - which can often lead to disasterous results if the male child turns out to be homosexual or takes a career path that isn't explicitly idiosyncratic of his society's definition of male machismo. This is because men naturally recognize their male children as "copies" of their personality.
Not Pheremones
So while pheremones do take a role in this "odd" behaviour, the psychological factors are hard wired and tend to be fantastically more powerful - equally as powerful as sexual attraction to the opposite sex. They kick into gear even when they are not physically near the woman to be affected by pheremones. This is why there is a trend for men to become sexually aroused by photographs of pregnant women - which is clearly a case where pheremones could not possibly have been involved.
Warning to Unmarried Pregnant Women
Avoid men who would seek to start a relationship with you while pregnant. In many cases, the primary reason is that such men are primarily driven by the desire to raise a male child. Many of them are devious enough to only want the child, but not the mother. There are many cases of new mothers who have had their newborn surrepticiously taken by these men - often to foreign countries, leaving the mother with absolutely NO idea of where they are. Some men want children so bad, that they will start a relationship with a pregnant woman just so that they can say "I raised that child". Many of these men are already married - often to women who are barren. So CHECK THEM OUT!
PREGNANT WOMEN, BEWARE!
Don't mistake their kindness for wanting to be a replacement father. They're only after what's in your womb. This is one of the many reasons why I'm vehemently against the idea of pre-marital procreation. Some people say I'm oldschool, but the old way is always safer, more practical and guaranteed to be more fulfilling. ;)
