Has your heart been broken by someone you really cared about? How long did it take you to get over it. Did it give you trust issues or have you been able to move on and not look back? Do you still see your ex or not friends? :)

#1 - yup. anyone that answers this question negatively is lucky.
#2 - quickest one 2 weeks, longest was problably around half a year.
#3 - not trust issues, just more experienced.
#4 - talk to some of them every now and then.

Yes very badly unfortunatley...
I was in love with a guy I was with for a year and a half. We were actually living together, and I ended up finding out he had a wife in California! He claims he was using her for immigration purposes but I don't buy that nor do I care... she's lucky she isn't a WIDOW that's all I have to say about that!

Ouch! Sorry to hear 'bout that.
Closest thing I've had to that was being betrayed by a very good (platonic) friend (who was a girl). We're civil to each other wheneve we interact but we don't really see each other much.

Yes I have:
1. The guy I was with thought he was single and I picked up a few signs and later found out that he was married with kids! :eusa_wall
2. The guy2 I was getting pretty serious with gearing towards marriage, he realised I had gained some weight and so couldn't carry on the relationship anymore because I was not skinny as I was when I was in the army. Talk about VAIN!

JCB - that's no way for a man to show his concern for your health.
I know this couple @ work where the girl gained a little weight after she got to know him better. He paid for her gymn membership for over two years and got her involved in all kinds of sports. When she dropped 9 dress sizes, he married her afterward. It's guys like that which makes me feel good about our kind.
JCB, you need to come back to Jamaica. Double-TIME! Huuut!!

>>One more thing, you know if I didnot have a good self esteem, it would have been none existent if a guy says that to a girl....but I said he wasn't worth my time and he was vain and selfish; Don't need that in my life!
I stick to my Jamaican men from now on....they find me healthy too. :D

WHOA! F**ed up! See what is that all about? I know if a guy meets a size 4 he probably doesn't want to marry a size 14... but come on... doesn't love mean anything to people? Well I guess that wasn't love.. sorry to hear that JCB:(

- Damn right you are! Don't you know that American men (black AND white) are WEIRD?!?! (ok, black american men are LESS weird).
When Jessica Simpson was to go do her first concert appearance, they said that her petite 140 lb figure was too fat... CAN YOU IMAGINE? She had to go on a ridiculous diet (much to her family's chagrin) to loose 20 lbs, because 140 was too fat! Can you imagine the severe psychological pressure that American society has placed on their young girls?

I think it was because she was top heavy.
No seriously, I'm not kidding. She is particularly blessed in the chest area. So blessed in fact, then when she auditioned for a CCM (Contemporary Christian Music) record company, they told her that they couldn't sign her because her breasts are too big ( :icon_eek: ) I kid you not. Apparently they were so holy, that her unusually (naturally) large breasts posed an idealogical threat to christendom.
When she tried for a secular record company, they told her that she was too fat (since 140 lbs means that she will actually have visible hip and buttocks). So they put her on the diet. I'm not kidding. Her family objected, until she finally decided to bite the bullet to become famous. What's funny, is that try as she may, she can't seem to put it back on. Maybe it's because the cameras are always on her.
Come to think of it, look at every famous woman in America. Several features stand out:
- No hips
- No butt
- Very little or no shape
- Long legs
- Ridiculously Heyooooge breasts (Observe the women featured by their men's magazines or their preferred supermodels to see this trend)
That's why I say american men (and the extremely rare 1 or 2 J'can men who are likewise influenced) LOVE a woman with no meat on her, except her breasts. I think that is extremely weird, since such women look lopsided or as is in most cases, unhealthily scrawny. There is no balance between the top, middle and bottom sections. No uniformity whatsoever. I just don't get that at all.
But I guess to each his own.
JCB, maybe you should have taken a J'can man with you up there. Heck, when a coworker of mine went to Japan recently, (she is a tall, buxom, J'can woman, fully-loaded), she had to be beating off the Japanese men like mosquitoes...
...even the Japanese men have better taste than those American weirdos.

watch for a discovery health channel program that specifically deals with plastic surgery... then you will have a clue as to what people are willing to do to FIT IN !!!
AngelsKiss
September 26, 2004, 11:47 AM
The body in it's natural form (minus plastic surgery, etc.) is a gift of God. For those ppl out there who appreciate others whether they are skinny or fat, kudos to you.
I also believe to each his own, if some one prefers a skinny person and vice versa, doesn't make him weird, just his preferences.
It's ok to have preferences, however, when we take it to the extreme and make disgusting comments about another person's physical appearances, not only do we hurt that person but we also hurt our Creator.

And THAT, is what ruined Michael Jackson's face. Not the plastic surgery, but his father's degrading commentary on his nose from his early youth. That dude is seriously messed up, psychologically speaking.

Your right but it looks as though Joe Jackson has some IMAGE issues of his own, that's why he passed that mentality to his kids. Name a Jackson that hasn't had plastic surgery. Mikey did it, Janet did it, LaToya did it, Tito... they all did except the eldest sister. It's sad eh?

hmmm honest my opinions run with Xeno's. I can't find a woman attractive that looks anorexic sorry. Someone who had plastic surgery to get large breasts with no buttocks and now hips I wouldn't look at twice. Just not me. Yet Caucasian American men love them. eyewwww. I don't like american model simply because of their unnaturalness if there is such a word.

Let me ask you something....
Can you TELL that Halle Berry had her nose done? Just by looking at her, not comparing old photos... just looking at her straight on!
Most and, MODERATE plastic surgery is not noticable. There are a lot of women in my neighbour hood that have done it and you can not tell unless you knew them before. Even then it just looks different, not obvious! You're just sitting there saying "hmm something is different...." Then you're like "ooh that's what it is!!"
So yeah, you can't always tell. If you can tell it means the job was botchy or they've worked on themselves TOO many times!
I don't get these women that live around my house ... they're rich and have nothing to do with their money so they get plastic surgery! MADNESS!
