With the Christmas season approaching, there comes with it the controversy (mainly in North America) surrounding the use of the greeting "Merry Christmas". In government agencies, corporate companies, and in many retail stores, the greeting has been replaced by "Happy Holidays". The Christmas tree is now known as the Holiday tree.

For Christians (or those that regard it as their religious affiliation), do you object to the replacement of "Merry Christmas" with the more politically correct terms of "Happy Holidays", "Seasons Greetings" etc.?

Nothing to object to...not everyone celebrates the Christmas. I say Happy Holidays to those who don't and Merry Christmas to those who do.

Strangely enough the only ppl I find a bit fussy are the Jehovah's Witness. Even the Muslims whom I come into contact with here don't' make a big deal about ppl saying Merry Christmas, well not the one's I have met to date anyway.

It is the thought that counts.
