Can you imagine the severe psychological pressure that American society has placed on their young girls

That quote from X in another thread made me wonder what the rest of the site would have to say about this topic.

This is directed at the men and women. Are you image conscious? Do you feel like what is portrayed in the media is "perfect" and therefore strive to attain it? What is the ideal image for you?

This question can pertain to body image, social image anything you want but do you feel pressure from others to live up to a certain standard in general?
