Do you know people who like to sue? What is the most idiotic case youve heard about?
The obese guy who is suing all the major fast food chains for their alleged marketing schemes. This guy is an opportunist in a society like the US, that allows people to be sued over ANYTHING. He sees the potential to get rich quick and is taking it!
He claims that through advertising, the fast food chains of the US, have made him believe that consuming their food in excess would give him a better quality of life as suggested in the commercials. Instead he ended up becoming obese.
Give me a break!
When you eat more than your matabolism can burn, no matter what KIND of food it is, what happens? You get fat!
The judge should throw this case out the window and lock him up for wasting the courts time.

Next one now.. lol
The IDIOT that sued McDonald's for spilling hot coffee on her lap! Hello! Why would you drive with a hot drink in your lap and then blame someone else because YOU burnt yourself? When you order a coffee do you not hope that it is hot? So why would you be so carless.
You know why this upsets me? Everytime someone sues a major corperation, the make up for the losses of lawyer fees, and pay out, through the consumers. So when a person sued a company with no merit it rises my vexation level so to speak lol...
I think I should sue all people who do not use common sense in their everyday life, and turn around and blame others for their idiocy!

glad to know i'm not the only one at work right now.
the world is just mad isn't it. its bad enough when they present these cases to the court, the really funny part is that some of them actually win.
does anyone try this type of craziness in ja. or the court just tells them 2 badwords and through them out.

Somebody tells them 2 bad words but I probably isn't the courts lol.. :icon_lol: In JA how many people have the personal time and money to tackle a law suit though? Some people might but not in general. Besides in North America it's made easy. There are those lawyers we call "abulance chasers"... lawyers here are like VULTURES they encourage citizens to sue.

Hear it and it is true. There was a joke based on it in the Movie Liar Liar starring Jim Carey!
It wasn't a broken leg from my understanding. The robber brok in and, the home owner has a gun. In trying to protect the house hold, the home owner fired a shot at the robber and the home owner ended being charged for using excessive force!
B.S. eh? But yes it's true. I'll try to find the exact article on the web...

No probs!:) but yeah I agree with you. The robber wasn't even charged for B&E. I mean if he was suing, that's one thing, but in terms of justice, he should have at least been chared for B&E and possession of a deadly weapon. He had one of those predator knives on him at the time. SO he intented to use it! His lawyers argued that he hadn't actually used it yet, therefore the home owner had no reason to bring a gun into the situation! So I guess he should've waited till the guy had a knife on his wife or 2 children, THEN brought the gun out!

Interesting concept and precedence being set. It means if you think that someone is going to do you some harm you should wait till an attempt is made before you protect yourself. The thief probably was not prepared for the consequences of B&E.

You Know I heard about that case of the Breaking and Entering guy. Now to be honest I am a law abiding citizen and I have my gun and this guy enters. I would not be shooting to warn him. All when mi ketch him mi woulda lean him up against a wall and kill him. Him not getting nuh change to go to no court. Sometimes I wonder why America exits it fi just disappear off the map. They have so many stupid and ridiculous laws.
I heard once about this woman that has been buying coffee at a joint for years and one morning she bought the coffee and it burnt her tongue she sued and won. Don't know if this is true.

Maybe it's the McDonalds lady that you're mixing up. She used to get the drive thru coffee every morning, one day she as driving with it in her lap. It spilled, burned her, she sued and won.
