Hey Guys, did anyone watch Miss Jamaica world pageant last night? :(
I don't think the best person won. She is a nice girl, but she just don't look like a beauty queen to me. There were much nicer girls who would have made a better queen, anyway thats my opinion. what do you guys think?
Those who did not see the pageant, here is a picture of the person who won.

From what I saw, they could have chosen another lady with a better chance of winning Miss World. It appears that since the judges took the popular vote into consideration where persons could text in their vote this created an unfair playing field. I have thought for the longest while that we need to get rid of these local celebrity judges who have very little experience judging international level beauty pageants and get some professional judges, even if they're not locals.

i saw bits n pieces of it. this was horrible. never mind the winner -
did you see some of the talents, eg. some of them trying their best to sing, sheesh.
quite a few of these ladies weren't all that. this is jamaica for crying out loud where are those foine women.

We should have sent up some of our Yardie girls to the event. Dem woulda win!

I voted for Debbie-Ann (http://www.missjamaicaworld.com/missjamaica2004/thepageant/contestants/debbieannmckreith/index.htm).
I liked her responses to the answers. She sounded intelligent and didn't give some nervous fool fool answer. She seemed really professional.

Ok I did not watch the pageant but I had a look at the females taking part on the website. I must say that I am rather disappointed with the females entering this year. I don't see the class and beauty of yesteryears. I could be wrong.

According to the Gleaner, Toyloy was by far the crowd's favorite (http://www.jamaica-gleaner.com/gleaner/20040928/ent/ent1.html)

She really don't look queen like to me either. I missed it cuz I don't live in Jamaica anymore but trust me girl I agree with you. They need you up on that stage.
