Hey folks,
i must admit to being a little amazed that there no posts in this section that would address the current situation in Trinidad. (Wey de trinis gone???) At any rate, I would like to say emphatically that contrary to reports from international media houses, TRINIDAD IS NOT A HOTBED OF TERRRORISM. There are no masked gunmen living in caves, and shooting missiles. There may be some form of terrorism, but certainly not on the level that CNN, Fox and all the rest of them suggest. Somehow terrorism is being linked to being a muslim, as if it were a prerequisite. We live in harmony with our muslim brothers and sisters. In fact, Muslims on the whole have contributed significantly to our development as a a nation, economically and judicially.e.g. Former President Noor Hassanali. This same gentleman would not accept the Trinity Cross (they country's highest award) because of his religion. Does that make him an extremist or a candidate to be a terrorist? These international reports are highly misleading and I advise that those listening take everything they say with a pinch of salt.
