I'm wondering if I'm alone. I had recently signed up for yahoo news alerts so whenever their is some important news I get a bulletin. I was not aware that their was so much violence going in the world. There is a train crash here, their car bombings all over the place, this is absurd.

Yup..
Say with me...."WE NEED TO CONTROL OURSELVES".
Most of these people just lack conflict resolution.

O come on it was'nt that bad...sure they killed anyone with the slightes emotion by buring them alive, but...you get to learn cool moves with your gun and stuff :icon_lol: Plus the spiffy car!!!

There was nothing spiffy about that car. The special effects sucked. The The plotting sucked. The acting was ok.
...But the Gun-Kata rocked. :icon_mrgr
This thread should have ended many posts ago. Devnull has already answered your question. We are in the end of ages.
All that is happening now is that biblical prophecy is being fulfilled. These are events that MUST happen. It's inevitable. It's not a matter that the media is choosing to only highlight the bad stuff, it's also the fact that there is increasingly nothing GOOD to report about anymore. The fact is that if the media chose to only report on the good things that are happening, they'd have very little to talk about.
Furthermore, it is the bad things that more severely affect the world over. If there was a war brewing in your backyard, I sure as hell would prefer to know about that than about some girlguides distributing free cookies to a golden age home. If war is brewing in my backyard, I could get killed. So I would much prefer to know about what's going on with that.
The mere fact that you all have started to notice that there's so much negativity in the world is indicative that we are in fact in the end of days. It's time for y'all to start :eusa_pray and look toward the sky, for the Son of Man will soon return.
Failing which...

Solution!!!!!....Greatis, this is bigger than us............all of this stems from world power and domination......Look at it this way. There are first world countries and then there are third world countries. When last have you heard a third wolrd country becoming a first world country????
Why is it that a first world country will not assist a third world country to come up to the level of first world status? Have you noticed that a third world country always have a need that a first world country CAN supply??? Now, why is that???.......

True...Xeno....that's what sells. You are right, more people are now becoming aware of what is happening. We have various mediums of communication, that are right at our finger tips. This can be seen through this type; forums.
Furthermore, as my compadre has rightly put it, what used to happen in far away countries (now not far away anymore) is now happening right in our backyard. Therefore, we have to take notice and recognize it when it does come knocking at our front door; to be prepared for and know how to deal with such matters.

All we can do now is live our lives hoping that none of the badness happens to us directly. I cannot stop it, You cannot stop it, We cannot stop it, They cannot stop it, Not even the Anglo American Dual World Power (USA and Britain) can stop it.
If we read our bibles regularly we would realize that only ONE kingdom will put an end to this wicked system of things and all other man made kingdoms will be wiped out also. Daniel 2:44

Good points Rojo / Devnull.
You touched on something very interesting Rojo about the third world countries always having a need that the First World onces can supply. Look at IRAQ. Iraq wasn't in any particularly desperate economic situation, but they're sitting on lots of oil. Comparatively, one could say that Iraq is a third world nation. The US has invaded Iraq under the surmise that there are Weapons of Mass Destruction there. It would appear as though Bush is finding it hard to swallow the fact that there aren't any such weapons there...
...or is He?
Haiti had a cruel leader in place just like Iraq did. Yet when Haiti's government imploded, the US did virtually nothing to assist. Iraq's government was just fine. No terrible problems economy-wise or political-wise. Heck, the Iraqis and the US were even allies during the Iraq / Iran war. Now the US gov't has killed hundreds of its own soldiers to secure Iraq. All the good they have done was to take down Saddam Hussein - who never was a threat to the US in the first place. Saddam was more of a threat to his own people than he was to the US. He never whispered one bad word against them, yet they invaded and are now being brutally punished for it.
What does this tell you about the first half of the Anglo-Saxxon Superpower? (as you so nicely put it)
Personally, I've never seen a more blatant display of hypocrisy. Lucky for us, we're not sitting on any oil. Cuz Bush would suddenly start thinking that PJ Patterson is a threat to world peace (when if anything, he is only a threat to his country) and invade us in the same manner as he did Iraq.
Bastard.
First world countries like America are only interested in third world countries when they have something to gain from it. There are too many examples in history that illustrate this point to ignore it.

When you think about that literally, do you think the world would be a better place if women had the power bush and sadam had?

Good question KilaJ, probably but if the bible is to be believed then things would be the same. We could however go on to debate the emotional dispositon of females and the decisions they probably would have made differently. :eusa_thin

Imperfection is always a factor, not to mention intimidation. Trembling at men is what lays a snare, so the bible says. Even if someone who is good at heart is put in power, corruption will always show its ugly head and chances are that no good hearted person will be placed into power by persons who always asking the question "Wha u can do fimi boss".
This world is sick, trust me on that. Most persons who strive to make it to the top or even just to get a little more money has got to go through alot, even stuff they never wanted to do.

ok so had this discussion in class on sunday. One particular female was suggesting that it was the break down of the family values. More dysfunctional families do you all think that is so?

i think it contributes. alot of children grow up in homes with alot of abuse, and children grow up with what they are taught. so the only result is the violence because thats what they are use to seeing.
