Often times I speak to people (females in particular) and they always talking about something they wish they could change or was not born with. With cosmetic surgery or reconstruction they still can't grow to accept the things they can't change and work on those that they can. So in their honor, I have decided to dedication this thread to them so that we can all see our dislikes about our selves (physically), or something we wish we could change but can't, or even something that someone made fun of and its something you grow to love now.You can post a picture of the body part (s) or just state the part(s) and reason for your self-appreciation.
I'll go first.
My wonderful nose....
Its embodied with African features: broad, no point, and soft. Growing up my sister would make fun of my nose saying that its like flat bridge. So I hated my nose like crazy and would put a clothes pin on it while washing on a Saturday with the hopes to get it "straighter". As I grew older and learned how to love my self, I put away these negative comments and now, I have a natural love for my nose so much that I would never trade it for another.
I am no longer offended when people talk about my nose because it is a reflection of my African features (of which I am proud to have), and it makes my face look cute. ;) So today I give it up for my beautiful nose that the Lord had destinied for me to have.:eusa_booh
