I am more inclined to believe that it is a test.

Space is the next frontier for an arms race. There have been proposals for a treaty between the space powers (http://blog.wired.com/wiredscience/2008/02/russia-china-pr.html) that would limit the weaponing of space.

Remember the other day China conducted a test?
http://edition.cnn.com/2007/TECH/space/01/18/china.missile/index.html

Basically the US made a real big deal about it. It would look a way now if they did the same thing now, Russia and China would have a fit. See there reaction (http://www.topix.com/news/sdi/2008/02/russia-says-u-s-plan-to-shoot-down-damaged-spy-satellite-could-be-missile-test)

More (http://the-reaction.blogspot.com/2008/02/satellite-shoot-down-plan-provokes-cold.html)

So many believe the story about a wayward satellite is a fabrication.

You think the US going to give up the ability to shoot down any satellite?

Let the arms race begin!!!:eusa_clap
