I think the quote is, "Anything unreal, doesn't exist." However...

The Universe is infinite. In that, there are 100,000,000,000,000,000 stars. Even if 10% of that had earth-like suns, thats 10,000,000,000,000,000. And even if 10% of them had an earth-like planet, that's 1,000,000,000,000,000. So, if we were the only signs of intelligent life in all that, wouldn't that be an incredible waste of space?

I would say the intelligent life was already here and the left us behind.

Look at Jesus for one.

Then look at how the Pyramids and ancient Roman times how these places were built without the technology we have today and also just using manual labor. (that is also speculation on the part of anthropologist and historians) The architecture and the dynamics of those people and their intelligence capabilities is still perplexing scientist today. Because they dont know how it was done. So I would say the intelligent life has been here and gone.

Maybe like in Star Trek they have a prime directive:

Do not interfere in the normal development of a world until people and technology are advanced enough to be integrated as easily as possible with the other civilisations in universe.

Case in point, if a diplomatic core of aliens came to earth, it would throw most religions into complete anarchy. The goods and services offered would render OPEC/US OIL/Diamond/Gold monopolies redundant, which would wreck havoc (not bad havoc in my esteem) with global economies.

In the Matrix preludes, it was precisely for those reasons HUMANS started war against the AI's.

Interesting reading. Lots of speculation though.

Personally, I think that there very likely is life on other planets elsewhere in the universe. It's improbable to me, that God would create such a vast universe, and chose to populate only this small planet earth, with life (as well as His angels in Heaven). However, I doubt that any beings from other planets have had anything to do with us, nor will they, until God sorts out this worlds issues. I think the very reason that we aren't able to venture very far from this planet, or that there isn't any life near enough to earth for us to reach, is that we're in quarantine. The other worlds likely haven't fallen into sin, and they aren't gonna risk a spread of that infection. So they're just watching to see how things turn out with us.

There are some books by C.S. Lewis which explore such a concept. His "Space Trilogy" - "Out of the Silent Planet", "Perelandra", and "That Hideous Strength" are fictional pieces of work in which he presents the concept of there being "unfallen worlds" out there which sentient beings, serving God, and not knowing sin.
