So I tried my hand at making a cheese cake, cause I kept hearing how everyone loves cheese cake but they are expensive.
I found a recipe in a Caribbean cook book I have and although I had a frustrating time separating the egg from the yoke :eusa_wall and wasted a few good eggs trying to get it right :eusa_wall I finally made it. I thought it would turn out not so great, but after the comments I got back, seems it turned out good.
I don't eat cheese cake but darn, this tasted good when I tried it. lol Only problem was the crust was too crumby. Next time I'll add more of the melted butter to keep it together.
Now this recipe required that I bake the cheese cake for 30 minutes at 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Friends are telling me I don't bake cheese cake, you chill it. So I guess you can both bake and chill.
Anyone else tried making a cheese cake? Want to share the recipe? Advise?
Mine turned out looking closely like this:
