Your boss is angry with you. According to him he was trying to reach you all day yesterday (Sunday) and you didn't pick up your phone when he called or even called him back. Of course, this may be because of the Caller ID service you've installed recently.
Does he have a right to be angry?

No overtime is involved. He is paying a monthly salary and may once a year give a gift.

If it wasn't part of the original terms of employment or being compensated for, then no. I can understand the rare need to call based on an emergency, but on a regular basis? NOPE!

As a rule I don't answer my phone on Sundays that's my personal day. I've never had a contract that bound me on my weekends therefore if my boss gets answered he/she is lucky.... Good thing Im my own boss now lol...

Hey, if they don't give me a company phone then they're not entitled to call me other than for emergencies.
