alright peeps. We've had a couple of bad comments about our native I land the pearl of the caribbean. I want to highlight the good about it so hence this thread. It's also to see if you all still love your country.
Now peeps what do you like most about Jamaica. Is it the food, the freedom, the beaches? What is it?

Good question Greatis. We get so caught up with the negatives but forget about the positives.
What do I like about Jamaica? Several things really. The natural beauty of the country - the hills, valleys, beaches, year-round sunshine. The people - Jamaicans are for most parts genuinely friendly. The freedom to do certain things without fear.

Ochi, Negril, Beaches, Sand, Rivers bla bla
Certain Places in Jamaica have this jungle/forrest kinda look to it. Thats what I like, especially in the country areas where its almost untouched but buildings and powerlines and paved roadway.

Things I like about my country Jamaica:
-The food: jamaicans really know how to season food and cook!
-The fruits: don't forget the variety and quality of our tropical fruits. For instance, our mangos are the best in the world...true?
-The people....generally friendly and giving....have bad eggs though
-The country sides, beaches, resorts
-The absence of various prejudices that exists in other countries
-Freedom to worship (and have church meetings)
-climate, weather, not many earthquakes...no snow
-presence of mountainous regions...for those of us who like to live in the hills
-geographical location : we are close enough to the US..for those of us who like to flight out once in a while
-absence of dangerous creatures (except for the gunmen) such as poisonous snake, insects and large animals
..and the list goes on

The Food - Nothing nuh bad like ackee and breadfruit straight and our other combinations... who else but jamaica would think of a bread... pudding i mean... come on crazy
The Music - Jamaican music can be listened to in almost all occasinos (not limiting to dancehall... jamaican music)
The People - Jamaican people are the most hospitable and the coolest ppl u could ever meet... yes there are bad people but over all it hype
The Women - Had to be specific here... nothing no nice like jamaican woman
Freedom - From many things that couldnt be done otherwise in the world
And last that i can think bout at this point in time... the Language nothing no sweeta fi hear (even though is a badword) dan wen u hear a man tell a man some good claat or worst wen u hear the usual phrase pertaining to your mother.... yess that is enjoyable

First thing that comes to mind is, the freedom to be a christian without my life being threatened.
If you hear how people are totured and violently killed because they worship God, in other countries, it's really terrible.
So I thank God that I can freely and openly worship Him without me being killed for it.
Secondly, love the warm climate. Not too hot, not too cold. And being that I live in the hills, it gets cool in the night.
Lord, Bless Our Little Country! :)

You have said it all. I sure miss my country...I miss the fact that no matter where I am on the island I can see the mountains and the beautiful Caribbean Sea.
Although we have a problem with crime... I miss our warm, friendly, generous and almost always happy people.
I don't even want to talk about the fact that I miss the food...that's a given. I am currently making a list of all the things I want to eat when I go home and restaurants I want to visit too.
Just in case any of my Bajans friends visit...I just want to say I miss Barbados too :D

AA is where u live star, not too hot??? Yow if u dont have ac in ur car in JA u gonna cry. Temp deadly outside star.
But I luv Ja still, Its funny sometimes, cause I know alot of people who say Ja ruff, and times hard but when they migrate to the Us or visit, u need to hear how they cry about how much they miss Ja. They also always want tastee patties. We in Ja take alot of things for granted but when we leave its a different story. In Ja we r extremely neighbourly when we wanna. This is not common place in other countries. Imagine u in Us or Canada and u cooking and realise u dont have any salt or whatever, in Ja u can run go next door, U cant pull that stunt if ur in the Us. :eusa_wall
U guys ever wake up on a Sunday morning to the sweet smell of Roast Breadfruit and Saltfish. :eusa_droo This is the stuff legends are made of.
My gosh, those were the days. I miss that :(

That list would be endless, but i can say a few. Jamaican food is the best. Jamaican women are the best. I love the land and the untouched environment that we still have (ever been to Winifred beach?), the culture, the language(as u might notice i sometimes make no attempt to type in english), as i said too much to mention.
